 What an atrocious analogy.

Not really.

Do you think it wise to walk up to someone whom you deem dangerous and provoke them intentionally? If not, why not?

Your posts here about muslims are another example. I'm sure that if you were dealing with a muslim face to face you would express your problems with Islam in a much more respectful manner...probably because you understand that if you came at him and called the Prophet all kinds of names and defiled the Qur'an in front of him it would end in some kind of verbal and/or physical altercation.

If you're looking for a fight, you'll get one. It's that simple.

drone attacks in muslim countries that kill civilians are apparently fine, but ignorant americans being true to themselves is enough to drive these muslims to "retaliate" :what:

the world is fukked, but it was written :manny:

So you agree or don't agree that people have right to kill over words, satire or criticism?

Don't tell me what the real world is, tell me if you think it is right.

What you say here may be true, but at the same time, defaulting to the "that's just how it is in the real world" view is a very convenient way to avoid the moral dimension, remove accountability from the situation, and allow the status quo to achieve some kind of self-justification, and not just for the extremists who kill over media. The same view can be used to remove accountability from the military, media, or other forces perpetrating abuses against Muslim populations, too. That doesn't really get us anywhere.

The ethical questions here, about what people should be doing, are not the same as the status quo, ie what people are doing.

I find it fitting that you compared yourself and Muslims to gangsters and thugs.

Congratulations.

I've made the point over and over again both here and on sohh that I think the muslims who riot and kill, or threaten to kill over these kind of incidents are ignorant and misguided....I never excused their actions. You guys always ignore my points though so you can continue spewing your bullshyt and generalizing all muslims. You guys live in a fantasy world where everybody is expected to hold hands and submit to your worldview. I, on the other hand, accept the fact that it doesn't work that way. There is a line and limit to everything. Once you transgress those limits you will deal with the consquences. Period.

It's funny because it's these same idealis, detached-from-reality liberals who made it a goal to oust Qaddafi, declaring him a tyrant and a dictator....when it was him who kept all these "savages" in check while he was in power. But no, you guys just had to have your way, and you had to try and make your fantasy-land a reality....now you're shocked and appalled? :skip:

It's not about right or wrong, it's about wise or unwise. When I was younger I used to wear a nice shiny gold chain and floss it outside my shirt and my moms used to always tell me to tuck it in or leave it home because she knew the kind of school I went to and the kinds of kids I hung out with and I was always like :rudy: :umad:....one night I was coming home from a party and got robbed at gunpoint. Did my mother give me bad advice?

Na man. Some things aren't complex. Some things are pretty cut and dry. moral dimensions, philosophical mumbo jumbo and all that other shyt you guys like to chit chat about becomes irrelevant once the shyt hits the fan and lines are crossed. The west may hold "freedom of speech" to be a value that is sacred...other nations and other peoples will have their own values and beliefs. The west has been trying to supplant the culture in the middle east since forever, this is nothing new. How about we start minding our own business for a change?

Some people in middle eastern nations teach kids that Jews are bloodsucking devils and depict them as animalistic caricatures in drawings and say Israel should be pushed into the sea. That means Jews have the right to kill them.

Atheists in the U.S. often make fun of and mock Christianity in print and verbally. That means Christians have the right to kill them.

Visiting fans at NFL games often speak disrespectful about the home team to their fans, whose team is very important to them. They should kill these disrespectful visiting team fans.

Lupe Fiasco said he doesn't like what Chief Keef represents. Keef has the right to slap him...and kill him.

Tim Hardaway said he hates gay people. Gay people have the right to kill him.

:skip: calls :gladbron: Prince James, Lebrick, and the frozen one. :gladbron: has the right to kill him.

Some posters on this site have called me disrespectful names, sometimes referencing my ethnicity, family, or theological beliefs without provocation. I shouldn't just joke back at them. I should kill them.

Somewhere in America today, a kid is saying an unkind thing about another kid's mother or making a racist joke about him.

Let's everyone adopt Muslim logic. The world would be a better place.

It's sad that this is even being debated.

You do realise of course that the people who were killed had absolutely nothing to do with the movie? What you're saying has no correlation to what happened.

Bruh...why can't you just say it's wrong to kill random people over a movie?

I can't wait for Islam to have a real schism between muslims that accept that we live in the XXI century and a modern world and the others that are still stuck in the Middle-Age with ancient rules.
I don't believe in any god(s) or religion but I accept and have no problem with those who do (and don't want to impose their views on mine).
But sometimes, when I hear this type of news I can't help but dispise Islam...

Bruh...let's keep it all the way real....Islam is under attack all the time in the media. It's not like something like this happens once or twice every now and then and muslims riot every time. It's only when its clear that an effort is made with the SOLE PURPOSE of insulting Islam and everyone who believes in it that certain segments of a population 1 billion deep go nuts. Is it right? absolutely NOT....but I don't see the nobility in absolving the people who provoke these kinds of things of any and all responsibility. It takes two to tango. And you brining up lupe, lebron, and the nfl and saying my analogies are bad? Show me where I said that muslims have the RIGHT to perform acts of violence.
