So they're merging the main roster right?

With the way Nick Khan been handing out deavors that's gotta be the plan right? No use in keeping separate brands just to have the same match ups every single week :yeshrug:

yeah i heard that on a podcast

nick khan thinks brand split is dumb bcuz networks can only promote certain wrestlers

I called this shyt. This is the only way they can put their foot on the necks of AEW ratings wise, and even then it’s not guaranteed that it’ll be a big ratings boost.

Unfortunately, I don’t think they’ll go all in on one huge roster for both shows , they’ll just unify the belts, and have the world champ hop brands

This is what they need to do with not just the World Titles but the Tag Team titles as well. That division is absolute garbage. WWE really only needs 1 World Champ and when he drops the title send him back to his original brand. I don't think Vince has to get rid of the brand extension as whole creative still have ppl they can call up to the main roster from NXT like Raquel Gonzalez, LA Knight, Io Shirai, etc.,

Creative is just horrendous with how they book the ppl.

Never liked brand splits. Ever. With as many hours of WWE television as they've had over the years, a brand split was a band aid on a bullet wound. They suck at long term booking and time management as it relates to talent. A brand split won't fix that.

Hell no, if it wasn't for the brand split smackdown would still be the raw recap show with 6 man tag team main events

Yeah they would have to treat SD the way they did between '99-'02, not how they treated it between '12-'16... that shyt was trash more often than not when they ended the split.

And yeah, if people want the split to end, don't be surprised when certain guys either get let go or don't get pushed. Folks tend to forget that everybody being on one brand means some people are gonna slide down the card because they're now sharing time with ALLLLLL the people that are near the top of the card. The roster only seems thin because it's spread across two shows.

A better idea is to maybe do a draft after Mania this year instead of in October, and evenly divide the roster instead of the straight-up gutting Raw did to SD in '21.
