Hahaha the same roman empire used his story to kill more people and enslaved them which eventually turned into the the British empire, that is where your "impact" comes from.... no thanks though I'm good over here
You seriously that historically ignorant to believe that the Roman empire "turned into" the British empire, or that Christianity's impact is just because of the British?
The only worldwide impact British Christianity had was a small subset of the Protestant Church...a minority of worldwide Christians.
Christianity was huge in Egypt before it was huge anywhere else, and they have a Christian tradition going all the way until today. Same goes for many other countries all over the world. The Roman empire did eventually have to co-opt Christianity - but only because it had grown so large and so powerful that they couldn't ignore it or oppress it anymore. And in the process of trying to co-opt Christianity, the Roman Empire was profoundly changed. Not to an actual Christian empire, but far better than what it had been before.
Again, explain to me how Jesus would have had more influence by picking up a sword, like tens of thousands of other Jews did in his time. How did that turn out for them? How many people today can name any of them, say anything about their life story or teachings, or have changed their lives because of them? How many peoples have gained their freedom on the inspiration and instruction of Jesus's example, and how many have used the failed 1st-century revolutionaries to drive their hopes and dreams?
