You know what, they should get Michael Caine to play the father of Statham's and Evans' brother characters. After all The Italian Job is the mother of all car heist flicks so even though he's old as fukk it would lend credibility to the whole enterprise.

i mean... why would u compare denzel's total movie gross as a lead actor who headlines his own flicks as the main attraction and typically stays away from big budget cgi heavy 'summer blockbuster' scripts... to a movie franchise that aims to be a big budget cgi heavy summer blockbuster flick? A franchise that relies more on explosions guns stunts surrealism and guest spot entertainers and rappers than it does quality acting performances?

Might as well say Twighlight >>>> any one of Deniro Pitt Clooney, etc because i wouldn't be surprised if that franchise has most of the renowned A+ lead actors of the past 2-3 decades beat or nearly surpassed outside of the will smiths and tom cruises. shyt the Resident Evil franchise with its overseas gross probably makes it >>>> a lot of great individual lead actors... but i doubt those actors would want to be caught dead in that shyt tho lol

nikka I know you not trying to compare Vin Diesel's resume to Denzels :scusthov: I mean the man has not 1 but 2 Oscars not to mention various nominations. All Diesel has is F&F. What else has he done?

Denzel got nominated for an Oscar for Flight (which didn't do big numbers). Safe House got a 53% on RT and that's with wack ass Ryan Reynolds as the lead. Book of Eli was meh but Unstoppable made up for it the same year. Taking of Pelham 123 wasn't a bad movie.... I mean I can run off flick upon flick that shyt's on any of Diesel's best acting movies.

What dope flick has Diesel made outside of F&F? You can't name one... And Saving Private Ryan don't count cause that nikka got killed off early in the movie. Boiler Room? He wasn't the lead actor. Nothing else.

nikkas acting like Vin Diesel carried the last two Fast and Furious movies. There was really only ONE bad one and that was Tokyo Drift.

Lets be clear. Chris Morgan and Justin Lin saved the franchise.

The original director that made the first one didn't come back because Vin Diesel wasn't going to be in it or vice versa. Diesel expected to be the next big action star but his career flopped hard after Pitch Black and XXX. The next two FF movies were produced by two different people. Morgan resurrected the franchise by writing the last 3 which were also produced by Lin. Diesel didn't even carry the last two. He was more of a supporting actor (which is fukked up because technically he's the lead). The last one nobody gave a fukk about his story line. nikka boring on the screen. That character is mad limited. Why you think they trying to bring in more people. Because he can't carry it himself.

denzel has been an oscar winner since before vin diesel landed his first acting gig. they are on completely different levels in hollywood. there's no point in comparing their careers.

do you really not see why denzel doesn't belong in a ff movie? really?

if he popped up in ff7 revving his supra talking about nos.. everyone in the theater would be :wtf:

the only loss the ff franchise ever took was tokyo drift. and vin diesel was in that shyt :lolbron:

and the movies made the biggest jump money-wise when the rock joined the cast. that's when they started doing 200mi+.

Firstly, im not comparing their careers. Denzel is a legend. Im just laughing at people thinking hes above the franchise when hes made some terrible movies.

Secondly, justin lin and chris morgan made tokyo drift which seemed like the death of it. If diesel didnt return nobody would have cared. Go look at the box offices of tokyo drift annd ff4. Both lin films, One had diesel one didnt.

Also, pitch black was diesels breakthrough role and a surprise success , and came before ff. xXx was a huge success and made more money then ff. So again, youre completely off.

Where diesel fukked up was not making the ff sequel or the xXx sequel. He picked some bad movies. Now hes back with ff and theyre doing another xXx.
