I would love for a supervillain heist movie or just a supervillain movie but problem is Hollywood tries to make them have redeeming factors.

Suicide Squad was marketed as the worst of the worst but none of them were really bad. Deadshot just wanted to make some money so he and his daughter could bounce. Diablo just wanted to be left alone. Harley was just crazy. The only one that was really bad was Boomerang but he was more a a$$hole than a bad guy and they even made him have redeeming qualities when he came back after he had a chance to escape.

If you do a villain flick make them despicable people with no redeeming qualities. I don't know if that would sell tickets though.
There's a TV show like that. It's called Power.

If you are going to do another superhero movie not tied to an established property, you need something to stand out :yeshrug:

Heist movies can be really entertaining when done right, not sure how they will swing the hero killing a bunch of villains or if the lair will be like a Danger Room situation with a bunch of tech to stop intruders :patrice:.

I'm picturing something like Don't Breathe in my head, with a bunch of supervillains instead of poor kids and going against more than blind Stephen Lang.

Agreed that Suicide Squad were more anti-heroes and the villain in the movie is terrible :bryan:. With them being villains you can do a bunch of creative kills without really feeling bad when they get got :demonic:.

I think he qualifies as a villain. Are there people with NO redeeming qualities? I don't think so.
I can't think of a redeeming quality of comic book Thanos(minus a swagged out backhand:wow:). As far as if there are real life people with no redeeming qualities, I can't think of any for dudes like Hitler or these cats shooting up movie theaters and schools. But that's a whole other hugely nuanced debate, imo.
They could if shown right. Dont give them redemming qualities but make it a us vs them instead of good vs evil. Like on The Originals. Klaus was the evilest dude out there yet he was the protagonist of the series and fans love him.
I'm more than down for a straight up supervillian flick. As far as what you're saying, I think the perfect templates already exist(I haven't seen The Originals). Vic Mackey and Tony Soprano. Two dudes who had power and chose to do bad shyt anyway. Yet the audience rooted for both despite knowing exactly what they were about. Both were despicable human beings. The audience never really takes the time to think of the innocent lives they ruin.

I dont believe that if it get rave reviews or enough hype going into it.. I don't believe this, its time for holywood to start trying new things, the world is different now if they would of did suicide squad right its would have been a bigger hit but DC/holywood are so formularic and scared to take a real risk
