The mini series and original novel is going to have to do folks. It's wild though how many MORE Novels and short stories Steven has that can still be made into movies. The man is a genius.

This is Hollywood marketing standards, breh. Disney dropped all mention of Mars from John Carter in marketing because while the movie was in production they had a mega flop with Mars Needs Moms, which led them to conclude audiences didn't want to see movies about Mars, rather than say that, you know, nobody wanted to see a movie with the creepiest mo-cap CGI of all time.

you guys are lookin at it through the lens of a hardcore movie fan. these execs don't act on emotion, they act on data.

i don't know whether they're right or wrong but i could at least see where they're comin from. no matter how you spin it the fact is poltergeist (a remake of an 80's classic with heavy clown imagery) just underperformed. based on that i could see why they might be hesitant to pump money into something that will look similar. and IT doesn't have the same name recognition that poltergeist does.

I understand that but that's not the way the source worded it breh lol. He said it's because of a clown that's it. And I'm saying that's nothing new. They do it whenever. They did it with John carter they've done it when it comes to female superheroes. They're very very superstitious and assume a lot based on one factor

I haven't even seen Poltergeist (the remake) yet, but let's be real, if that movie had anything going against it, it was James Wan's films. The clown is merely an excuse.

All in all, they didn't want to cough up the budget for it. Sucks.
