If a black woman has an anti black male philosophy, am I not endangering myself by trusting her simply because she's a sister. For Ruby Mccollum, she was an abused wife whose husband ran a gambling type operation. A famous white doctor repeatedly raped her and extorted her and her husband for money - the husband ignored the rapes to avoid being arrested or turned in...she ended up pregnant by the white doctor and gave birth to a daughter which her husband turned a blind eye to. The white doctor continued to rape her. Her husband, embarrassed by the mixed child they already had, threatened that if she got pregnant by him again he would kill her...unfortunately, she ended up pregnant a second time and he (the white doctor who was raping her) refused to give an abortion.... the theory is that she snapped when he wouldn't give her an abortion and killed him, or, since he was running for political office and involved in illegal activity, that someone was paid to shoot him and Ruby was an easy target to frame.

The big issue with this case is that she was not allowed to defend herself at trail because she was black and a women obviously...so the rapes were never mentioned NOR was the defense allowed to talk about or show her mixed child. The judge...obviously a racist, allowed for a gag order to be placed on Ruby meaning she could not talk to anyone about her ordeal except her defense lawyer. So she legally was prevented from telling her side to anyone. Many think the judge requested the gag order to protect his own interest since it's speculated he was also involved in the illegal gambling ring. Ruby was found guilty without ever getting to tell her side of the story...the defense was also not allowed to tell her side of the story in court and given very little time to cross-examine...the judge over-ruled many pertinent questions and would not allow for the defense to mention the rapes of Ruby or the children...she was also not allowed to acknowledge her pregnancy in court...

I fail to understand how people can't see how much consciousness has shifted. In the early to mid 1900s, race was a primary identifier for African Americans. Fast forward to decades after integration and we have people defining themselves by political party, fraternity, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation and about 6 other things BEFORE race...

Don't misunderstand me, I might see the bish cutting me off in traffic as my sister, but to her I'm just a random capitalist competitor on the morning commute.
