Phillies are in last place yet two games over .500 and only 3.5 back...

Next best is AL East, with only the Red Sox being sub-.500.

Fluke or legit? Anybody expect this to last, or...?

We all got our weaknesses homie. Y'all had (still kinda having) a good run. Still a good team. Definitely WC worthy.
we have no bats.

Zimmerman isnt healthy and been struggling this year.

LaRouche had that hot run a few weeks ago but hailed off.

Ian Desmond is hot and cold, but Danny Espinosa has disappointed me greatly this year. Bryce is our most reliable bat, which is sad.

If Morse can have somewhat close to the year he had last year when he comes back, then I will be geeked but we have no hitting.

Its sad too because the pitching staff is arguably the best in baseball.

There are 6 AL teams with a PLUS run differential. 5 of those 6 are in the AL East.

Well that lineup isn't a power lineup from top to bottom now. It's moving towards that... but the lineup is inconsistent, I agree.

The difference between the 2012 Nats and 2010 Giants is clutch hitting. No one gets a run when it's needed. A fully healthy Nats team is a beast, but still slightly inconsistent.

But when it's all said and done, the Mets will fall off due to their pitching, the Marlins for the same reason, and the Phillies are damn near too old but still a threat. The Braves' pitching was a problem, but it seems it's all about worked out. If the Nats can trade for one big bat this summer... they could very well get that WC or possibly the division with a long hot streak.

One of the worst contracts in baseball. I don't know why you DC guys keep defending that deal.

Because they can't defend Werth's and feel the need to stand up for something

:win:

We're a couple of starters away from really being considered a threat to win it all

Well that problem may be solved... if we get Roy Oswalt, a healthy, FOCUSED Roy, then... our rotation becomes:

Beachy
Huddy
Hanson
Roy
Delgado (maybe Medlen)

I don't see how that rotation can't get it done. At all.
