It's not like Women's Championship matches are hard to get. There's 2 Championships and 16 women between 'em.

If you interfere in the Champ's match, you get a title match.

Is someone currently in the ring demanding a title shot? Well go demand one too, chances are you'll likely be put into a fatal four way championship match or a fatal five way number one contenders match.

Whoever challenges for the other women's title isn't going to do half the work in securing the match than the winner of the Royal Rumble will have done.

It's putting the cart before the horse. This should have been built towards for the past year, a title unification, maybe even incorporating the Mae Young Classic, and, in general, booking the women a lot stronger than they've been booked.

You could have had qualification matches throughout the year with the earlier you qualify the better your chances of drawing a favorable entry number. Then you could have had someone like Becky attacked, shelved for her movie, barely making it back to qualify and drawing an early entry. A natural underdog.

You could have unified your titles, booked the first women's Rumble, and WM main event in one year and have it all make sense.

Why would they unify the titles? They have two for a reason.

Sasha Banks Q&A: 2018 Royal Rumble, future of women’s wrestling, becoming face of WWE

Interviewer: I feel like it’s only going to take time to get people to realize that the women’s revolution or evolution, whatever you want to call it, was a period of time that was needed to get to a point where it’s normal to have women featured in the main event of any show and it’s not a big deal that needs to be pointed out. The storyline will have dictated the placement.

Sasha: “Exactly and that’s the number one thing is. I don’t just want something to be given to us just to put that little stamp like ‘Oh look the women are doing it now it’s cool.’ No.

My goal is to main event WrestleMania and if we’re going to main event it, I need it to be the greatest storyline ever. I need the fans to be invested. I just don’t want to get handed something because they’re putting a first time ever [match] for women. I want it to be a good storyline and I want the crowd to care because those are the moments that …

I feel like the reason people talk about the Brooklyn match [I had] with Bayley so much is because of the history between me and Bayley. You know that she fought from the very beginning to get the women’s championship and for me, I fought to keep that and to show people that I’m the best.

People are invested in the storylines more than just putting a name on something and bam! First time ever, you know what I mean?”

Sasha about to get eliminated first

Wouldn't be surprised if most of the women feel this way. :francis:

Within the next five years, the women will headline WrestleMania again or main event it and you know there's going to be no story to it. It will just be, "The Women's Revolution with another bold step! The women make history with their first WrestleMania main event!"

shyt's going to be sickening. :scust:

Rousey and her team coming in and teaming up to win the rumble might be good, but would you trust them to pull that off when only 1 (I think?) has even wrestled before? And do they want to debut the Most Revolutionary Moment in Women's History™ around something that breaks the spirit of competition?

Oh.

And knowing them they'd want Rousey to come in and kick everyone's ass, but her not being able to wrestle at all might save us from that:mjlol: I don't even trust her to make throwing bytches through the middle rope look good.

They pat themselves on the back for stuff like this while the women's division on both Raw and Smackdown (and soon, NXT if we're being honest) have fallen off in the last year.

Don't get me wrong. I think stuff like the Women's MitB (ending aside), Mae Young Classic, HiaC, and this are good shyt. I believe the women deserve every chance to display their talent and headline shows, same as the men get. Moreover, they deserve to be able to get their money up like the men do.

But I wish we could get all that with it being bolstered by a healthy and decently booked division. They're doing all this shyt for the Rumble while week after week just throwing the women out there in these useless tag matches. The titles have fallen completely to the wayside when they should be at the center of this considering winning the Rumble gets you a title shot at Mania.

It's like they just can't let the audience organically react to anything. We can't have a moment to feel and talk about amongst ourselves how historic this is because they refuse to not turn everything into some cold marketing ploy.

I just can’t stand how Stephanie is the biggest heel on the roster while simultaneously being the champion of women. Makes no sense and makes me care even less about any “history making moment” especially considering she will probably win the damn match

She did say where are my boots.
Plus the way she booked herself over brie Bella.
She is booked inring character wise like female cripple ache and has no weaknesses.

Kharma better be in this:trash:

We could only hope that happens so we get jax vs kong[kharma].
Yet the WWE has kinda botched the women's raw title picture because asuka is being put in the title picture to early. When the female raw narrative for mania is should be Alexa bliss vs jax. If we pay attention to what makes sense on their programming. In an arena that little makes sense.
Having asuka beat Alexa in a horrible nontitle last night was silly and counterproductive.
Including exposed Alexa that she really does not work that well with a better worker. Plus the fact asuka is so neutered she could not carry Alexa because of moveset and WWE psychology limiting ideals in place for of course Steph, shane and the son in law to always look dominant.
After last night, they showed they really don't have any idea what is the main event at mania. Nor how to properly weight their on female talent based on their booking.

Last night was the most counter productive booking to the rumble and mania so far for the women revolution. Plus they gave away a money ppv match with a bullshyt build and no stakes. Only thing they accomplished was showing their over thought meddling makes no sense.
