He played for one of the most stacked teams in history. They had HOFs at every position and were the greatest defense ever in terms of year-after-year consistency. He was good, but if he didn't get drafted by the Steelers, he probably would be barely remembered. And there were probably other QBs could've won multiple SBs on that team.
He probably wasn't better than Staubach, Stabler, Tarkenton, Ken Anderson, and some unheralded 70's QBs who were stuck on trash teams in the 70's. There was no free agency then. Archie Manning would've won rings and been considered one of the GOATs if he played for the Steelers.
