That being said, the old looking Creh doing a nice job
I'm pretty sure 75 percent of the posters on this board could get similar results with the current squad.

I think basketball is probably the only sport where you don’t necessarily have to a ton of playing experience to coach or you don’t need to have played organized ball for a while.
you can go hoop anytime and day of the year for as long as you’re alive. Can’t do that with football or baseball because you’ll need way more folks, room and equipment.
a dude playing pickup his whole life can know just as much about the game as someone riding the bench in college
Exactly. You don’t need to play basketball at it’s highest level to understand the game of basketball.
I don’t know about that breh. JB Bickerstaff, Stephen Silas, Alvin Gentry, Wes Unseld Jr. never played in the league. Dwayne Casey, Mike Brown, David Fizdale all were recent former coaches who do not have an NBA playing resume.Perhaps but let’s be honest, for a black man to get a head coaching opportunity, he needs to be a former player to even have the opportunity.

I figured this would be your rebuttal. No one said anything about playing in the league.
Every single guy that you mentioned played college basketball, which is what this thread is about.
They’re former players. Jenkins didn’t even play college basketball.
he might be the only one though. Jenkins is an outlier
Spo played for some bum ass small college & he’s one of the best in the league
Pop played for the Air Force & his resume speaks for itself.
a lot of black coaches only played college like a lot of white coaches did.
NBA coaches in general are typically former players whether college or pros.
He probably is an outlier, but only a white man could be an outlier
don’t start this dap fishing shyt
are you white?
There’s the answer.why does it matter
There’s the answer.
This is an ultra reach though lol. How many coaches period didn’t play basketball on any level? You can say only a white guy could pull that off, which I would agree with, but it’s not like it happens often enough for it to even be something to think about.I figured this would be your rebuttal. No one said anything about playing in the league.
