this will never work cause they made the tv show style so fukk'n campy.
an over excessive nineties style tarantino grit wash will seem completely out of place or to heavy to fit in at all with the entire series.
making it a b*stard child where it eclipses every star trek episode ever made and given enfamy.
or it is the b*stard child where star trek fans try to act like it never happened and then vy for a reboot and new film series.

when, if you were to ask me,...star trek is boring as fukk.

I don't think he wrote the script for Jackie Brown.

I think he did but it was an adaptation. Maybe you’re right thom
I remember hearing about QT's idea for Bond but not reading much into it since it went by so quickly. Was the final product what we got in Casino Royale or was it very different from his vision?

He wanted to do the book but do it in black and white and set it in the Cold War era.

I could see him doing a star wars movie, but star trek doesn't really seem like it would fit his style :yeshrug:

Ironic because he said the opposite. I have no clue what’s going on with this man right now
Star wars was partly inspired by spaghetti westerns, just like tarantino movies. I always thought that guardians of the galaxy was basically a tarantino inspired version of star wars. Star Trek is an idealist utopia, i'm not sure how tarantinos cynicism and gore would fit in there

Which is why I either say he’s not going to direct it or he reins himself in in service of the larger work. He says he’s a fan. Cites episodes he loves and loves the universe and what it stands for. Says yesterday’s enterprise is one of the greatest hours of television ever.

Not saying it’s anything to be excited about but it wouldn’t shock me if he as a filmmaker or any filmmaker really adapts their style to fit something else

But then what is the point of having tarantino as a director? That's like hiring Nas to write a taylor swift record.

Isn't the next Tarantino movie - after the Manson/60's flick he's working on now - his last one? I don't want that to be a Star Trek film :scust:

Considering I doubt they were going to do a fourth film, having Tarantino’s name attached as writer or director is probably the only thing that could get it done.
