so police and witnesses confirmed what he looked like, how he entered, what he wore, the fact the people did think it was part of the movie, and another guy says he personally thought it was part of the movie.... but i'm crazy??

i'm sorry but the moment smoke fills up a movie theater, i'm fukking gone. same people trying to justify who in their right mind would take a 3 month old to a movie... any doctor would tell you thats a stupid fukking idea. death does not excuse common sense

I don't know how the theaters are where you're at, but typically, there's 2 main stair ways leading up to the seats, and 2 or 1 exit leading out of the theater back to the hallway/foyer area.

If a guy with an automatic weapon is standing at the bottom of the steps, even if you want to get the fukk out of there, you're going to be running towards the gun fire. I'm sure that's why most people in there probably just hit the fukking deck.

shyt is crazy breh, you don't know how you would react in some shyt like that. Safest way of escaping wouldn't have been running down the aisle, depending on how high you are, climbing over the side wall that's adjacent to the exit door would be your best bet, but how many people would be thinking that with tear gas in their face and bullets flying all over the fukking place? 71 people shot? That's probably like 40% of the seating capacity in that room.

Insane.

This is some shyt from that show Luther for real.

I'm going to say it's in the 150 to 200 range.

IMAX in Chicago at Navy Pier seats 420 people, so I know it's not that big. If it's a regular size theater I'm going to say 200.

The suspect in the killing of 12 people at a Colorado screening of the new Batman movie had colored his hair red and told police he was "the Joker," according to a federal law enforcement source with knowledge of the investigation.

Police say James Holmes, 24, was dressed in protective gear and set off two devices of some kind before firing from an AR-15 rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun and at least one of two handguns recovered. A source said Holmes carried a magazine capable of holding more than 100 rounds and that his guns were purchased legally in the past six months.

People say stuff like 'I would have ran', I would have done this, or that, it's like a defense mechanism, we say it when he watch horror movies too. Just off the guy walking up and throwing a tear gas, right away, my first thought would be a prank, it's a surreal experience too, people probably didn't realize the danger until AFTER they heard the shots, and even then, it may not have registered. Adrenaline, shock, all that plays a part. I've never been in a situation like that....but in fairly similar ones, anything that gets your adrenaline pumping, or is shocking, unexpected.

Someone tried to rob my friend and I for a lil ounce of weed like 10 years ago, I watched dude pull a hoody over his face, walk towards the car all quickly, it wasn't til he was leaning in the car and had punched my boy in the face that it registered. When my house got jacked, when I walked in I felt like I was in a dream, I almost slapped myself, it was so surreal, seeing broken glass everywhere. I imagine when they saw some dude in full tactical gear brandishing weapons they felt something similar.
