Monday he walked free, having completed his sentence. At 8:02 a.m. ET, Carruth, the former Carolina Panthers wide receiver, walked out of Sampson Correctional Institution, got in a white Chevy Tahoe and drove away without speaking to an assembly of reporters outside the facility.

“I’m excited about just being out of here. I’m nervous just about how I’ll be received by the public,” Carruth said in a phone interview with WSOC-TV on Sunday. “I still have to work. I still have to live. I have to exist out there and it just seems like there is so much hate and negativity toward me. I’m actually somewhat frightened.”

His ineptitude and stupidity are legendary
Couple corrections though: prosecutors didn’t call watkins defense did, even though Watkins pleaded the driver agreed to testify and was a better witness but defense brought up brother mouzone cuz they knew he d act a fool
Cherica was a real estate agent but at one point she did strip which Rae was mad about per reports, this was after they started their sexual relationship so it’s not like she met him at the club or whatever. I’m not saying that to disparage her but that’s just factual.
Rae had gotten another girl pregnant and threatened her and made her get an abortion.
He also made threats against his first baby mother although they’re now amicable apparently.
Interestingly despite growing up in an allegedly crime filled part of Sacramento Rae was protected from that by his mother and step father, maybe that’s why he’s such a terrible criminal.
