This is a gay problem not a black male problem. White gay males have a higer rate then anyone when it comes to HIV then it is gay black men and Latinos after that. Black Stright men problem is not HIV but black stright woman problem is HIV.

FYI: As a former resident at an Infectious Disease clinic, most of the patients I saw were either:

A. Black males who were homosexuals, drug abusers
B. Black women from Africa who contracted HIV through birth or rape
c. Black American women who contracted it through drug abuse (needle) or from a man that was on the "DL"

I am only speaking based on my experiences, so you can take it for what its worth.

All this study shows is gay black males from 13-24 have a higher rate of hiv then other groups. You are trying to use gay male numbers to represent all black men and that is not the case.

They then go on to explain that the large upswing among black men in that age range is because of gay/bisexual sex and drugs. That is not a "gay" study, but gay activity among "straight men" accounts for increasing number of HIV cases among black men.

Kenya this Article does not say that at all. All it tells us is that 45% of the new infections are black men. then it goes on to say that most of them got it from sex with men or drug use. It does not tell us if these men claim to be straight or gay it just tells us how they got it. But if you look at the stats of the black female it shows that the number is lower for them then it is for black men that clearly shows that many of these guys are gay males and not down low men claiming to be straight if that was the case the number for black women would be higher.

We can agree to disagree, but that charts and article says youth ages 13-24 (not gay youth ages 13-24). The article says gay AND bisexual men (most men who are bisexual probably do not tell women esp black women because they will get the serious side eye).
