the theater experience is more about the folks behind the camera who need these films going to the big screen to keep a paycheck coming in. Folks don't realize, that with movies hitting streaming services first, these companies will cut down on budgets, hurting the little guy on set first & the most, then the creativity will take a hit, then you'll be left making threads years from now wondering why film quality has taken such a hit.

I've already noted the dip in TV quality over the past couple of years because everyone is in a race for content...slowly but surely, quantity over quality is winning. We're out of the golden age of TV, and in one the emphasizes hitting all demos to pull in as many viewers & advertisers as possible. The convenience will always come at the cost of the art down the line.

Budgets bigger than ever and they're giving us half assed piss poor quality garbage now.
They gotta earn their budgets. 200Ms just to have some PS2 looking CGI :hhh:
Give us some good storytelling and acting then get your big bloated budget

They should have thought about that years ago, when they were gouging the shyt outta moviegoers.

I don't feel bad for the movie industry ONE BIT.

And "film quality" went to shyt YEARS ago.

This ain't nothin but chickens coming home to roost.

If the theater experience NEVER comes back, so be it.

What they NEED to do is have a complete resurgence of the DRIVE-IN experience.

A couple of things.

The little guy won’t be affected. More shows and movies means more work.

The studios don’t outright own most of these blockbusters. They co-finance( like Dune and Legendary) to minimize risk. Streaming won’t bring revenue so studios will have to take all the risk.

That’s why we will get 16 Tyler Perry shows or another Saved by the Bell continuation that last three season even though no one talks about it
