Anybody own one or know which are any good, if any? Good/Bad to owning one?

He asked me what I knew and I straight gave him the :manny:
I've never even seen a 3D movie :whoo:

Last year I remember reading Plasma being a better fit for 3d, is that still the case?

I got an LG passive 3D set a few months ago. Love it so far, but you really won't use the 3D that often. The model I have converts any 2D image to 3D also, but its kind of a gimmick. Sports look cool but you wont leave the 3D on all day. Movies look :krs: though. Worth it for that, plus its not like you are paying a large premium for the 3D feature anymore, its almost standard. I tested both sets of glasses, but I prefer the passive ones a bit (ones you get for 3D movies at the theater).

I'm not liking what I'm reading about Samsung picture quality outside of actual 3D programming/movies...everyone is shytting on it (especially for the price)

And what does passive 3D mean?

^^^

I got that set earlier this year. It does have great IQ. It's noticeably dimmer than an LED though if that matters to dude's pops

I like it dimmer...LEDs picture looks washed out to me...way better for sports and movies imo
