Peoples talked gangster shyt but noone did it like mobb deep and they def started the whole “drill” vibe of gangster rap

Mobb Deep (imo) is closer to the drill shyt from Chicago.

I agree with Zino here

Yes gangster music was being made but it all sounded a bit old-timey until the Mobb dropped

The sound was loud, modern and sinister. 90s Prodigy had the best delivery ever IMO
