FALSE. DEPENDS ON YOUR STORE. IT HAPPENS A LOT. WHAT THEY USUALLY DO IS CHARGE YOU 5-10 CENTS MORE THAN IT ACTUALLY COSTS THEN RING IT UP AFTER YOU LEAVE. I NEVER TRUST PEOPLE WHO DO THE PRICE OFF THE TOP OF THEIR HEAD. I USUALLY LOOK AT THE ORDER SCREEN THROUGH THE WINDOW AND SEE IF MY ORDER IS ON IT.

SOME PEOPLE DO THAT TRICK TO BEAT THE CLOCK ON THE DRIVE THRU. AFTER A BIG ORDER THAT WILL TAKE A BIT GOES THROUGH THE LINE THEY HOLD THE NEXT ORDER TO PULL THE AVERAGE BACK DOWN. IT WON'T LINE UP WITH THE CLOCK BUT THE MANAGER CAN CALL IT A DRIVE OFF. THEY WILL EVEN CHARGE A FEW DOLLAR ITEMS AND VOID THEM TO BACK IT UP. ALL THAT SO THEY CAN POCKET A FEW EXTRA CENTS PER TRANSACTION. IT ADDS UP QUICK.
seems like someone has mad experience with this :mjpls:

been ballin off that mcdonalds pocketin, my du? :mjpls:

Real talk, best win/win was fukking with this chick when I was in hs that worked there.

On the weekends we'd pick her up after smoking all night and she'dcome out with bags of food at closing.

During the days, she had this key she'd put in the register and food would be mad cheap :banderas:

She use to smell like mustard after work :scusthov:.

But real talk, steal everything you can from work. If jobs paid people correctly and didn't fukk people you wouldn't resort to stealing. Only do this with rinky dink jobs, once you get a good job you might steal a pen here and there. Them low paying jobs fukk IT

Not sure if it's changed in the 15 years I worked there but as soon as you pressed shyt on the screen it would show up on a screen back in the kitchen so they could get a jump on it , and then you could delete everything from the order except one thing, so you could just add ice water or something to the order then delete all the other real stuff and pocket the money. The total would be kept running and if they saw the screen when they pulled up it'd still have their real order on it.
Random weirdos would always come in trying to buy quarter pound patties and buns in bulk so that was ok money too.

Outside of the free money the best part was the owner only hired slutty/hot Mexican girls to work in the kitchen.

I would to if I was getting 8$ an hour. People are hungry man.

Nikkas gotta eat man. In high school, I worked at Chuck-E-Cheese. Me and my boy were the game room managers and they gave us the keys to all the machines :mjpls: So we'd take the tickets out the machines and sell a big ass stack to the parents, so their kids could get the prize toys without having waste money trying to win the games. Manager never caught on to us either :mjpls:

I used to do this back in the late 90s. When people came inside to eat, I would charge them less and not ring the food up. For example, the big mac meal was $2.99. I would just tell them the price was $3 or $2 even and then pocket the cash. The food was already made so I would just grab everything and give it to them. If they gave me a $20 or something bigger, I would just go behind the drink machine and count out their change from my own money.

I also used to hook up people with lots of food for like 10 or 20 bucks. They would just give me a list of what they wanted and then I would go grab or make everything. Then I would go out to the lobby and grab the trash can. I would take the trash to the back of the store and after taking out the bag, I would put all their food in the bottom and then put the new bag over it. When I went back to the lobby, I would take the trash can to the back and give them all the food.

I only got caught one time and that was when I had a ten piece nugget in my pocket and I was going to give it to someone for $1. My manager was staring at me and noticed the box hanging out of my pocket. By the time I realized she saw it, she had already ran over and grabbed me. I told her it was for me because I was hungry and she let me go.

Corporations ain't shyt. Take from them as much as you can. You can't build loyalty from your employees when you treat them like shyt.

AND THIS FOLKS IS WHY FAST FOOD CAN'T AFFORD TO RAISE MINIMUM WAGE BY MUCH.

We used to do that at this bagel joint I worked at in HS. We had a lot of regulars who ordered the same shyt so they knew the exact price. They'd just give us the money and go, or my favorite line "keep the change."

Those transactions never got entered in the register and that cash went straight in our pockets. :pachaha:

My homie slipped up one day, got caught and fired. He got too complacent and didn't even fake like he was ringing it up. Customer just watched him the whole time and snitched.

Lots of cacs with money dont give a damn about money :dead:

I was working concessions in high school it wasnt unusual for one to roll up and give me $20 for a 4 dollar pretzel and say "keep the change" That's 16 dollars :damn:

This is probably well known in the hood but I'm ignorant of this scam. I had this happen a couple of times. You go and order your meal in the drive thru and they tell you to pull forward for you total. Then they'll ask you again what you ordered. They do this b/c they're not entering it in the machine. If they don't then it's no record of the receipt. And therefore they can keep the money for themselves. I know a former manager who told me this and she had to fire 40 people from 3 restaurants because of this.

I used to always do this.

we used to ring it up as an employee meal andso it would be free

it worked for me bc my homie usually was working the bottom part of the drive thru

we used to also steal food and bring it home :ohlawd:

this was like 2005-2007 though......they prolly cracked down.

My high school years were GOAT :banderas:

THREE-OH-FIVE TILL I DIE
I'm seeing a few scenarios to make this work.

1. The person who takes the order and collects the money in the first window is working with the person who hands you your food from the second window.
2. The person who takes the order and collects the money in the first window then runs to the second window and hands you your food.
3. The person who takes the order and collects the money is the same person who hands you your food from only one window.

But I don't know if anyone here accounted for CORRECT change given back to the customer AND a printed receipt.
Unless the scammers are smart enough to bank on the fact that most customers don't pay attention to change and receipts.
