I don't believe it. The story sounds pretty trashy, but this is wrestling so it's possible. :mjlol: Randy left because Vince didn't want him in the ring anymore, he was retired from in ring for 2 years which was a travesty especially since he could finally be out from under Hogan's thumb. Vince was mad because Randy allegedly said that he would never leave. I've heard something about the Slim Jim sponsorship being a part of it but I can't remember the details.

Those skits Vince did were disrespectful and really played on the fact that Vince thought Randy was too old which cost Randy 2 great in ring years. Randy doesn't seem like a guy who forgives easy, but I think they definitely would've buried the hatchet not soon after 2011 which is a tragedy. WWE really started working on repairing relationships after his death.

Lanny poffo says it happened now but there was an interview from a few years back where he shyt the rumor down and went into the real reason for the macho/Vince beef and it wasn't nearly as interesting as macho Man banging Steph. I actually don't remember that shows you how boring it was, the only parts I remember was Vince was angry over losing the Slim Jim money and Randy really took offense to the Nacho Man vignettes leading up to WM12
The truth is often less interesting than the fiction :wow:

Slim Jim money was $750, 000 a year which at that time in wrestling was a lot. It was Randy's brother Lanny that mentioned that being the reason but I think it's also sour grapes between Vince and Macho about him going to WCW.

I wonder about this after seeing the recent Macho Man doc. Vince put Macho over on TV after he left. Something had to have happened between then and the end that kept him from wanting to patch things up with Macho Man. If Macho Man fukked Steph and Vince found out later that would make sense of things.

You can either believe he fukked Stephanie or the other story about the Slim Jim endorsement. Keep in mind how tight things were for the WWE financially during that time, and Vince really wanted to keep that endorsement. It wasn't long after that they were running RAW shows in high school gyms. Either way we'll never know since one party is dead and the other party will never say anything.

I don't know what the fukk Vince thought was going to happen. He sat Macho on the bench despite clearly still having years of high level work to give, not only did he want to work he wanted to put over the next generation of guys. When Turner threw the bag at Hogan, there's no fukking way Vince could have thought they weren't going to make an offer to Savage. And he'd have been stupid not to take it. The story some in WWE world tell is that they were at Raw one week and Savage was on WCW TV, but that's definitely not the case and Vince gave thanks to Savage like 2-3 months before he showed up on WCW TV, which happened 9 months before Nitro debuted. Dude was even fukking with him at house shows where he'd cut 15 minutes from a title match with Bret for no reason other than just to do it.

Look at how Vince talked about him after he left though, he put him over and and wished him well on TV. I think at the time he clearly didn't have a major problem with Savage, he probably did see it as a difference of opinion and wasn't mad at Macho for taking the money and getting the chance to keep wrestling. Even the Nacho Man stuff was harmless Monday Night Wars sh1t and not malicious.

But something might have changed at some point, because it's weird that Macho never went back to work for them and he took so long to put him in the HOF. That word got around to Vince that Macho fukked Steph at some point down the line would make sense of it, because Vince was not treating it like he was gonna hold a grudge when Macho first left.

Maybe, maybe not. What I do know is that people really want the Macho/Stephanie thing to be true. Also knowing what we know about Vince now, doesn't his helter skelter personality make sense? We've seen him on numerous occasions fall completely in love with a wrestler, and then out of nowhere bush them and then release them.

I don't think this happened at all, never heard about it until after Macho made the video dissing Triple H and saying he'd take his girl Stephanie after Triple H dissed him and first.

That rumor had been round
That's why that line was so crazy

idk whats weirder, folks wanting this to be true or folks being ok with it if it was true because its Stephanie..

The whole thing is weird because it's literally something that originated from online geeks just saying it happened... it's not like it comes from someone in the industry, it's something "they" said... "they" being nobody... and people have run with it for like 20 years, because they just want it to be true. One of the weirdest things ever.
