It's funny cause the song 'We Can Funk' which was on the Graffiti Bridge soundtrack was written back during the Purple Rain era, and it was originally titled 'We Can fukk" We can all agree that fukking was an important part of Prince's creative process .

Yeah, I would always hear Erotic City on the radio uncensored. I’d hear all these other songs in which they censor the profanity and then would hear “we can fukk until the dawn, making love til cherry’s gone”.

Radios were inconsistent, you would sometimes hear weed references censored out, and then they would play I Got 5 on It. Or they would censor out “ho” in one song, and then later you hear I Get Around uncensored
