If you have watched the video of some Wu members arguing with Method Man on the bus, then it's not such a far fetched idea...

1) Durk is in the "Bang" video...That song was local hit...If I am a Big Homie Rapper, and my Lil Homie Rapper, shows such potential...You can believe I would have made more songs with the Lil Homie...How many songs are there with Durk and Chief Keef...? Fat Trel is more visible with GBE than Durk, and he an out of town n-gga...hahaha

2) Durk was already rocking with Lil Reece, but they did not have an official outfit...Lil Reece starts claiming GBE, but Durk isn't part of GBE...Why is that...? Why would you want to break away and do your own thing at the beginning of the movement, it makes sense to break away when you are established, but breaking away during the "Come Up" can only mean that you don't want to rock with the outfit....

3) Now al these Twitter nonsense...Dudes are expressing years of built-up feelings and emotions...

While when keef was locked up. Durk was giving that nikka shutouts. Durk had his own movement and his own lane from day one. Never needed keef. Never used Keef.
