The only that I would MAYBE let slide being a bad FT shooter was shaq, and that was only I know he would drop 35 or 40 that night.

If you doing 15, 16, 17 PPG, make your fukking free throws, ain't tryna that your excuses.:camby:

Make your free throws. Simple and plain.

Again, not the point of the thread.

This is what basketball will turn into. Into something completely unwatchable.

As for Detroit, they'll keep him in as long as they need to and then put it Baynes, who has been better than how he was earlier this season. SVG actually was directly responsible for facilitating both loses against the Clippers thanks to Hack a Drummond, and almost lost another big 4th quarter lead, the team escapes. He has smartened up a little.

1998 lakers-jazz was a 4 point victory and shaq went 9-20 at the line in the game where the jazz knocked them out
that once every twenty years success rate :whew:

NOT TRYING TO HEAR THIS BULLshyt...

THESE DUDES GET PAID MULTI MILLIONS TO SHOOT FREE THROWS.

HAKEEM, KAREEM, EWING, ZO, ROBINSON, MUTUMBO, DAUGHERTY, SMITS, YAO, SABONIS, DIVAC, THE GASOLS, ETC
ALL SHOT AROUND 70% OR HIGHER FOR THEIR CAREERS.

ITS LIKE SHAQ MADE IT COOL FOR BIGS TO BE COMFORTABLE SUCKING AT THE LINE,
BUT THESE DUDES NOT AS GOOD AS SHAQ.

WE NOT CHANGING THE RULES FOR THESE BUM nikkaS.

:pachaha:

:ehh: yeah bottom line is dre gotta make his free throws or just be a running joke for the duration of his career or until they change the rules

It's not practice with him. It's mental, the humiliation factor. Hardly an excuse however, if you shooting at almost 8% lower than last year I believe. I heard 80 percent of Howard's practices involved FT's, whereas Drummond's are around 70. You have to totally reconstruct something if it's completely broken, and we are finding out the extent THIS year due to the fact that we are actually winning games and losing teams are trying any and everything to bit off chunks of a lead at a time.

At that age can it be mitigated, but that sure ain't happening this year.

I'm split on this. I do however think more teams should use hypnotherapy to help get some of these big men over their stage fright on the line.

Why make such statements though? There have been quite a few players that shot 50 percent or less Such as Shaq, Wilt, Dwight, Danny Fortson. Teams obviously believe such players have value despite the inability to hit free throws. If shooting 50 percent from the line was a prerequisite for playing in the league, Drummond wouldn't be playing.
