I don't give a shyt about offending people through comedy . If it's funny then everyone can be a target IMO. People are way too sensitive now . the world is being pussified every day and i can't stand it

That being said. Since we are in the world we are in imagine if the rolls were reversed and someone made a film about murdering Obama. The US would stop that with the quickness

They should do what Matt stone and trey Parker did with team America. They sent Kim the video early on and there was no hard feelings

Rogen better hire extra bodyguards and someone to taste test his food for the next few months.

A similar article was in our city Newspaper today lol. They're just giving people more reason to go out and see the movie when it drops. Trailer looks hilarious by the way.

SONY ALTERING ROGEN & FRANCO’S THE INTERVIEW TO AVOID OFFENDING NORTH KOREA

Sony says the move was not prompted by its Japanese parent company.

13 AUG 2014 BY ADAM DILEO

Possible spoilers for The Interview follow.

Sony Pictures will reportedly digitally alter the movie The Interview so as to avoid giving offense to North Korea. At a minimum the studio will redesign certain pieces of military dress though the edits may extend to removing an entire scene.

The Interview is a comedy starring James Franco and Seth Rogen as a TV personality and producer, respectively, who are sent into North Korea to assassinate its ruler, Kim Jong Un. The film recently provoked comments from the rogue nuclear state condemning not just the movie but American foreign policy in countries such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Ukraine.

According to THR, Sony will digitally alter thousands of buttons worn by characters in the film because they are copies of uniform adornments used by the North Korean military to honor Kim and his late father, Kim Jong Il. Depicting real military decorations is considered blasphemous in North Korea.

Sony is also considering removing a scene in which Kim, played by actor Randall Park (who once voiced the despot for Robot Chicken), has his face “melted off graphically in slow motion.” Because that’s not as blasphemous as fake buttons?

Sony Pictures says these choices are not the result of pressure from its Japanese parent company, Sony Corp. A source close to the decision say the buttons were changed for “clearance issues.” The face-melting scene, says the source, is up for removal because it might not be funny.
