I did the same 2 weeks ago and skipped it though, so who knows if I'll go through with it
they all seem janky, but don't seem to have any serious effects, so I figure I'll get the one shot jawn now while it's easy to get. because we all know they're gonna start checking Vax cards at some point

My girl also got the first shot yesterday and she’s complaining that her arm burns or something. I dont know... I’m usually not the type of person to get the newest thing that comes out. The fact there isn’t “sufficient data” for this vaccine, the fact that there are so many different types of what qualifies as a vaccine, the fact that half the CDC hasn’t taken a vaccine (probably more), the fact that rich people are refusing the vaccine, the fact that children aren’t yet eligible to take the vaccine (with weaker immune systems, you would think they would be first) just got me like
Yep. I called the new Kroger location yesterday and told them that she needed her 2nd Moderna dose for this morning and they still ended up giving her the Pfizer one
According to them, no one is getting the vaccination so they stopped giving out the shot and allocated their remaining doses to one remaining Kroger in the area. All it tells me is that no one is keeping track of the vaccinations they give out if they didn't bother to make sure they had enough remaining doses for the people they gave the first shot to.
It's exactly like the situation I mentioned on here a while back with a friend of mine who couldn't find the 2nd moderna dose as their original location stopped giving them out.
Edit: they told her that the 2nd shot was worthless and to come back in 3 weeks to get the Moderna one. That's even assuming that they have it in stock.

"Supposedly" it's okay as long as it's done 4 weeks apart. They told her to come back in 3 weeks to get the right one though. Not sure if she will though and I don't necessarily blame her. It's been happening to a lot of people at the Krogers in our area as well and she's not the only one. I called and told them yesterday and they still fukked it up
It's going to start happening to a lot of people now that states are cutting vaccine supplies and orders.

Honestly, I think a lot of these places don’t care nor do I believe that they’re actually keeping count of the vaccines that they’re giving out.
I know Walmart had sent me a cancellation email eventhough I had showed up a few hours earlier to get the vaccine. Then the shot lady had the nerve to call my 2nd dose Moderna until I had to correct her and make sure she had the right one. Her excuse was that she had given all Moderna shots the day before and forgot

Its one of many reasons why I don't give folks a hard time who don't want to get vaccinated. They made this whole process complete shyt from the jump.
Each county is responsible, like its already a mess at the state level, but county level? Damn.
They closed down where I got my first shot, I HOPE they don't fukk around again.
They sent out the cancellation email, but the website was down, so someone from the Health department had to change it for me. I didn't get to choose where
If I hop back on the website, it still shows my old appointment so they fukked everyone over and then broke the website

You may end up getting said virus with no protection other than your immune system and your vitamins.
If you have pre-existing conditions, could be more of a death sentence.
You may come out fine, you may come out with long term effects for the rest of your life (brain fog, diminished lung function)
Immunity only lasts a few months.
2. You take it, the shot(s) might kill you based on pre-existing conditions. This is rare but not out the realm of possibility.
3. You take it, you have side effects but your good and life goes on. You have a vaccine card and can resume "normal" activity.
If you catch the virus (which becomes more difficult), you will be a carrier at best and flu like symptoms at worst. But it is no longer a possible death sentence.
You may end up with severe side effects years down the line and trying to sue these companies will be an uphill battle. If you are even alive to sue at all.
