So, if the "WWE brand" stops selling, what's Plan B for Cokeboy?

Brehs Al Davis made it to 82 despite having his skin melt off years before, Vince will probably live to be 98 years old

Just because this is the first time "you've seen" semi empty arenas doesn't mean it's the first time there have been them :yeshrug:

The hard camera side is typically where they put the empty seats and now we are getting a bunch of people tweeting it and everyone is acting like it's new.

Advertising
TV shows (TWO running on the E network)
Merch
traveling ticket sales
WWE Network subs
etc.
And

If they ever need to lower expenses, they have a TON of useless salaries that they can drop at any given minute

Shyt ain't going anywhere.

A lot of this is true, but it ain't like twitter and snap just popped off yesterday. If arenas were looking like Impact dark matches years ago, we would have been seen pics of that already.

that's not necessarily true. Each day our world is turning into more and more "exposal" rather than "enjoyment". Smart phones years ago might have been more readily pointed on the entertainers whereas today the fans who paid to get in the door are trying to expose low attendance numbers of the very company they are paying to entertain them.

I've been to house shows, Raw and Smackdown tapings and I've recognized the black tarp treatment for years. It's not "new" but it is "newly exposed"

Put out a good product,, it's pretty simple. I haven't watched in months, give me a reason too
I gave up like 6 years ago it's not the talents fault though. They don't need to be as edgy as the attitude era but should take a similar approach imo.

They’re going to be negotiating a new tv deal next year and there’s no reason to believe multiple networks won’t be bidding for rights, and no reason to think WWE will be taking an L compared to current deal. There’s really nothing else to discuss in regards to “the end” while they make hundreds of millions as a television property. WCW recieved $0 in tv rights so losing $80 million in a year killed it dead. ECW was down $7 million but it was ran out of Heyman daddy basement and had no real tv. WWE is good.

You LITERALLY equate the fact that you see low attendance (from pictures you've seen of RAW and SD being 1/2 empty recently) to "drawing ability"

I responded that it's not that serious because the hard cam side is typically lower attendance than you would think...you've just NEVER seen it until recently... (and this is someone who's been to probably 15/20 shows before and after twitter in 4 different cities)

My response is that your assertion is off base. AND that revenue is fine for WWE. So the assertions that the WWE Brand is failing is incorrect.

How is it that I didn't read the OP again?

But to answer your question, "if the WWE brand stops selling what is plan B" you have to understand that the brand is already so diversified that it's not feasibly going to happen anytime soon.

They have JUST recently started to push a very strong campaign into India (the most populous place in the world). They are gaining mainstream attention (Rob Gronkowski, Ronda Rousey, Brock Lesnar, Sportscenter, Good Morning America, John Cena, The Rock, Wrestlemania Weekend, etc.), They are diversified into their own movie studio, they have mobile applications, they have television shows on other networks, they have a streaming service where they are literally monetizing their tape library of matches that have already aired.

So the WWE brand has already seen "Plan B". They are way ahead of Plan B. They are entrenched in entertainment bigger than you or me caring about the undercard of No Mercy.

:ehh: fair enough.
