I see what you're saying, but for me, if I'm with someone, I give 100% or I just stay single otherwise. I don't think about who I'm missing out on while being with this person...I guess if I did think that, that's a red flag that I shouldn't be in a committed relationship.

I think the same way while I am in a relationship. I've never cheated on a mate, but I've been cheated on thought "damn, I wish I would not have taken this so seriously and simply had fun too." If he wants to explore his options, she should have that opportunity as well.

That's all there is to it. Some people just enjoy the drama. It's greed that often wrecks a solid situation. Personally, if I had it made, then I'm not going to make moves to intentionally lose it. There's a shortage of decent people in this day and age, so if you find one, better hold on... That's my motto, but if people want to willingly sink their own ships or create mutiny, they can't say I didn't warn them.
