That Ghana/libera category is a generalization about several west African countries. I’m really mostly Nigerian if we talking about current political boarders

Did you consider doing the African Ancestry one.

Cause the way Ancestry does Africa, is too all over.

Like for example, say you actually had an ancestor from Modern Day Angola. Because they are classified as Bantus. Ancestry will somehow link you to every Bantu country in Africa, even if you have no lineage at to those areas.

So with these DNA test, when it comes to Black Diasporans. These test are complex.

So for example, if he has a sister from the same parents. Her DNA test will say she's Blacker then him.

So with these test, for males, you only get your direct paternal lineage, whereas the women only their direct maternal lineage.

And because off the nature off how things were back in them whips and chains days. Your white ancestor is mostly likely gonna be a male.

You basically have to do a lot off test on all sides off your fam to find out, the true stats.
This.

OP @CashmereThoughts ,

what’s your paternal haplogroup? Your Y-DNA/Y-chromosome? Who is Your direct male ancestor on your fathers side?

Haplogroup R= European haplogroup
E = African
J= semitic( Jewish and Arab )

You can find and track the origin of Your direct male ancestor, the oldest male in your ancestry.

On your father’s side

Your father
Your paternal grandfather
Your paternal grand grand father
Your paternal grand grand grand father

If you don't mind me asking, what lead you to take the test , and how do feel after seeing the results?
because "circumstances" have prevented me understanding my ancestry and I have always felt negatively about that. It was just a matter of my pulling the trigger on the DNA test and getting it done. 23 and me had a sale and it was only $50

The results were spot on with my expectations.

I paid $50 for 23and me and African ancestry is $300. I will eventually do African ancestry but for $50 im satisfied knowing considerably more than I did before
