I feel for all the people that fell for the "WORKING IN TECH IS THE FUTURE" Wave.... soon as I saw that shyt trending I had a bad feeling about it...

My girl was into it and SHE struggling with jobs...

But I'm in healthcare...Job market GRAVY for me...

The Fck is A.I gonna replace at my job?

:blessed:

Until they can get Robots to tend to patients I ain't got shyt to worry about

:russ:

You are misunderstanding the issue
AI cannot replace nurses but it can downsize the team.
Put it this way AI can automate many things healthcare professionals do like charting, monitor vitals, updating EHRs, medication reminders, flagging abnormalities, suggesting treatment routes based on data patterns, have virtual nursing assistants, triage etc..

Now all of a sudden only thing left is hands-on care.
But since AI doing a lot of the work suddenly you need less nurses.

AI can’t replace yet, its current use case is to downsize.

And radiologists are in danger too

The fukk they don't. If they are a part of the company they do. I was already two interviews deep and that's my time and the company's reputation on the line. We ain't talking no temp agencies here

The temp agency is more likely to give you a personal response...
Big-tech, consulting (IT or management) don't give a fukk
More layoffs, strict on their KPIs....they don't care or have the time for candidates the team or hiring manager does not want

Reason #1 why I'm staying put where I have seniority and can work from home most days :russ: not trying to be in the job market right now

Younger me went thru that so hopefully I won't have to :hubie: that said if it only took you a few months to find a new job that's not bad

My girl had an interview with a major hospital in NY.

1. she did the first "pre interview" on Teams, they liked her and scheduled the 2nd interview
2. Days later she gets on the call, the manager doesn't show up, she sat there on webex alone for 30 minutes, sends them an email. The manager comes back the next day apologizing saying he didnt put it on his calendar, his kids, blah blah (major red flag)
3. scheduled the interview again a few days later, does the interview, they like her
4. she gets told they will send her some goofy "assignment" to work on, 90 minutes "honor system" , sh*t was like 10 pages, and that "dont worry this isnt graded"
5. she does it, sends it back, gets completely ghosted. She asks in the email to confirm they received it, nothing. They never got back to her confirming that they looked at it, nothing at all.

The whole thing was a waste of time and I was heated on her behalf, some of these interview processes make zero sense.

There's so much of this "ghosting" nonsense out here its ridiculous

Lack of professionalism reached new heights post COVID :francis:

HR is the recruiter that contacts you. And Yes I can blame them if they are they contact and stop responding to my emails. They are the ones that are supposed to keep me updated on what is going on

HR kids just follow instructions is what I'm saying. Whoever is making the decision to ghost is someone who's high up the corporate ladder.

I'm sure if Samantha was found to not be replying to applicants she'd lose her job.

iunno...they often dont seem to come through breh
Idk how it is up there in Canada, but here if you have an internal referral for a position you get to skip the line. That's not to say that you are always going to land the job but the odds are more in your favor when you have a contact that can go directly to the hiring manager to vouch for you vs. being a faceless name in a pool of thousands hoping you make it through to human eyes.
