It was always split down the middle in high school... dudes fukked with seinfeld cause it was funnier and its about nothing... there isnt this stupid constant hooking up between the characters to keep the show going.

And girls fukked with friends cause it was simplistic and romanticly driven... its a comedy for people who dont really want comedy they want to see good looking people fall in love...

But to try and help you get into it... you should start watching at season 5 and just watch the entire season... the first couple seasons are funny as helll but they came out in like 1990 so its kinda dated for someone that isnt a big fan of the show.

It just comes off as old outdated rich guy humor to me. Jerry seems smug, the crazy tall guy Frasier is corny, Jason Alexander is a horrible actor and the "hott" chick Jillian seems like she has nose hair and ugly feet. shyt just irks me.
