took me a few episodes before witherspoons voice acting could grow on me. i had something totally different in my mind from the comics.

I didn't have a different voice in my head, but they changed the character's personality a lot.

They made him more of a buffoon in the cartoon.

thats a more accurate way to put what i was saying. i didn't expect him to be so animated. i have no problems with it now but when it first aired i was perplexed at all of their voices actually and personalities.

i disagree, black dynamite is just iight to me. a lot of the cultural references goes over my head. seems like dudes in their 30's would relate a lot more to it

Im 23 and none of the cultural references go over my head. You could get 90% of the jokes by just watching the Black Dynamite movie in general.

Or maybe ya'll just aren't knowledgeable on black history in the 70s...
