i dont know how to feel about this. everything about that video makes me uncomfortable.

did u guys know there was a time when it was illegal for a black man to feel or take pity on a white man?? why ? because that would mean that the black man is superior or equal to the white man.

so when u losers watch that video and u say "oooh he's so nice, giving back to black people", this really disturbs me. that video is a backhanded insult.

so when you see this guy giving away goods to these black people, ur sense of dignity should have risen up. aint nothing to be applauded here. he does it and makes a video of it. for what?

I have become very bothered that "pro-black" and "militant" posters have become "the enemy" on this forum. It's sad and wholeheartedly bothersome and I wonder if I'm in bizarro world sometimes. Please keep in mind...that decades ago, black people in America had no choice but to adopt this standpoint....simply because they were seen as the enemy by the dominant mass even though they were trying to live their lives without trouble and raise their families.

I agree but only to a certain extent. While I acknowledge that there are a fair amount of sneaky anti-black posters, who label anyone who smartly discusses racial social inequities as "militant", I must admit that this thread does the coli "pro black" contingent no favors.

This is a nice, heartwarming video where someone does something kind for others, but of course, since he's white, people have to twist this into some nefarious plot where the white devil is openly trying to humiliate and inflict harm on black people by giving them a very nice gift, and anyone who doesnt see this is some hopeless uncle tom I suppose.

There are a lot of posters in this thread that I like, but if I were to be honest I think some of you guys are less "pro black", and more in love with your own opinions, and this idea that unless you're miserable and really really hate white people with a passion you're some sort of "c00n". No, the black experience isnt limited to acting obnoxiously uptight, and twisting yourself into a pretzel of anger over every single thing in life. I find it offensive that people are likening those who appreciate this kind gesture to runaway slaves and such.

I really wonder with a lot of you cats...I think a lot of you guys need some fresh air, and clear your head a lil. Fukkin relax.

I agree with the italicized and bolded alot. It's like they want to project their hatred and displeasure with their life on others on the internet. This is kind of where many coli threads go into a downward spiral of hatred and resentment and it's unbecoming.

It's way too easy to get wrapped up in this thing called the coli. And yeah...alot of posters need to chill. The name calling is uncoool and it seems that focus becomes lost in an agenda where it's one side vs. the other. We don't need anymore divisions.

And also I'll say...not all white people are bad (in a very non c00nish way)...I think most people have their experiences good or bad that shape their reality and how they project their views onto others.

I'm in the burbs right now cause my family lives here and I'm staying with them and helping them out around the house until I go back to NY in January. I'm talking McMansions everywhere and cul de sacs...

Some of these white people get legitimately afraid of me when I'm just doing my thing walking in the park.

Today, a white lady with two dogs crossed to the other side of the street when she was walking toward me in my parents neighborhood. We were the only two people on that street. It was really weird and low key infuriating.

I lost count of how many white people have given me bad looks when I'm enjoying myself in the park near my family's neighborhood...I'm almost surprised some of these people haven't called the cops on me for being in their space and making them uncomfortable even though I'm not doing anything wrong except being black in a predominantly white neighborhood with the way they've been staring at me since I've been here.

Bottom line...I can't wait to leave and get back to NYC...these people really are some unsufferable and indifferent a$$holes.
