I think he's trynna be like his daddy. I don't know him, never met him, but we had 1-2 degrees of separation (Harlem is small, I have 1-2 deg of separation with Cam, Mase, Dave East, all the historical Harlem gangsters and bougie nikkas, etc). When he was little, his moms had a side hustle: she sold clothes. Harlem, being in Manhattan, has always been deeply entwined with the world of fashion. Similar to a tupperware party, she used to have fashion shows in the homes of the fancy negroes, her
former class peers.
Anyway, I could see him feeling like the family fell VERY low when pops got killed, so he had to pick up the mantle, but being psycho about it. Like, basing his idea of his father on mob movies and shyt, bc he really didn't get a chance to know him. Shyt kinda sad, but it's still fukk him, ofc.
