FINALLY someone realizes this lolDrake is using him a ghost writer and to borrow songs from, same as majid jordan and pnd. Hes using them like what he did with weeknd on take care.
They will never see official album releases other than those struggle digital releases with no promo.
Its very possible Drake uses Weeknd, PND and that Tuesday nikka as ghostwriters for his R&B songs... Ani't nothing wrong with using help for writing Pop & R&B songsJay and Drake don't have ghostwriters. PND, Weeknd and fukking wack ass Makkonen couldn't write Drake a verse.
Using a beat meant for The Weeknd it's different than saying Weeknd penned Drake songs.
In most other genres the talent is being able to sing, maybe play an instrument, or even dancing. Rapping you're talking to a beat, not a high hurdle to clear, plus your rep is built (back in the day at least) on you displaying your lyrical skills..,what sets you apart. It's not hard to see why writers are looked down on in the genre.I agree. I dont understand why has long been accepted in EVERY other genre of music, but when it comes to rap, fans expect their favorite rapper or producer to perform and create 100% of everything they put out without ANY outside assistance. that kinda thinking is dumb when you really think about it.
Didn't know this, yep, it's bushes for himMakkonen dissed Drake on twitter then tried to say his shyt was hacked...he's been ever since. I say good riddance
On Thursday, the ILoveMakonnen Twitter page tweeted out a string of now-deleted tweets that blasted Drake and Rihanna.
"F*ck @drake: and @ovo for getting on @fettywap remix and leaving me in the #cold," Makonnen allegedly tweeted.
In another tweet, Makonnen allegedly said, "f*ck a #cosign: forget ALL these NEW rappers I'M grammy nomimated (sic) with or without a @drake cosign im starting over and doing ME!!!."
According to MTV, earlier in the day, Makonnen tweeted "starting over," possibly hinting at his frustration with Drake and his label. But Drake wasn't the only person Makonnen allegedly tweeted at. The singer also set his sights on Rihanna.
"@rihanna is a slut for not getting on dmw5 f*ck her too," Makonnen may have tweeted, referencing his latest mixtape "Drink More Water 5."
But, after all the tweets were sent out, Makonnen revealed that he was hacked, and it wasn't him responsible for the prior tweets.
"Some crazy sh*t just happened here. Got hacked. But all is good now," Makonnen tweeted.
Makonnen signed to Drake's OVO Sound record label last year after Drake remixed his hit song "Tuesday." The song was later nominated for a Grammy.
If Makonnen really did diss Drake on Twitter, his recent opinions differ from the time when he found out Drake remixed "Tuesday." The singer told MTV News,"There were tears of joy and tears of hard f*cking work. 'Cause goddamn, that Monday was a b*tch!"
I thought this ghostwriting shyt was basic, common knowledge
Jay-Z is perhaps the king of this ghostwriting shyt
FYI....having a ghostwriter doesn't always mean having RAPS written for you
He was hacked. You really think he would jeopardize his career over some stupid shyt like that?Makkonen dissed Drake on twitter then tried to say his shyt was hacked...he's been ever since. I say good riddance
