So did DC throw Tim Drake in the bushes in favor of Damien?

They tried with the "Red Robin" thing....and it wasn't hitting.
I don't know if it was the Name, the costume, or the story but it just fell flat

The name and costume
:francis:

Because of his smarts he should be doing what bat wing is doing or should have been wearing an earlier version of the batman beyond suit

Damien being his son and being tied to the LoS is better storywise
I wouldn't mind Damien taking Terry's place as Batman Beyond if they ever decide to bring it back to tv
It makes more sense because they had to retcon Terry's into being Bruce's son in that JLU episode
Just make it Damien and let him go through the trials of the mantle vs his LoS roots

Nah keep Terry as Batman Beyond but have Damien in one of the movies as a grizzled Batman 666. Damien could be a Cillian or an anti here in it:blessed:

Lot of slander for the only Robin popular enough to get 3 miniseries and his own series not even counting Damian being forced down everyone's throat...:dame:

What DC is doing to the 90s class is almost criminal.

It was just a mini and fire actually. It was him proving Batman was still alive following Final Crisis. Flashpoint hit immediately after.

I thought it was just ok. My point was it didn't last because as soon as a new writer came along, none of his development mattered anymore
But on the topic of the 90's class nobody got done worse than poor Kyle Raynor lol.

Wally West, thanks to Bruce Timm became so popular that people forgot he wasn't the original flash.
Tim Drake, was in the Arkham Games and in a couple Batman cartoons, not included TimmVerse tho..who was more Jason Todd with Tim's name.
Connor Kent, a featured star of the popular young Justice show as well as on the live action titans show......and so is
Cassie Sandsmark, the 2nd Wonder girl but Donna getting shine now too.
But Raynor been awol since that One guest appearance on S:TAS wayyyyyy back in the 90's

Dude need a better advocate lol.
I've heard rumors of a new GL series getting made....and nothing saying it's going to be about Kyle lmao....
That girlfriend in the fridge thing really killed his career I guess

lol...there was a lot of development afterwards but the fact its still brought and an actual synonym for toxic masculinity is hilarious. Mans literally put the Corps on his back for at least 5 years real time. He was THE GL in arguably the best JL lineup too no disrespect to Jon Stewart.

Theres a strong case for Wally tho since he was even bigger and got shafted.

I'm a millenial and Tim Drake Robin was always trash oak wtf y'all are on about. Hated him in the new Batman adventures, didn't care much for him in the comics. dikk, Todd, Damien, Terry for me.

In the Batman Beyond comics Damien replaces Ra’s Al Ghoul as the person in charge of the League of Shadows. He whips Terry ass too when they meet… just drags him over multiple issues and breaks the armor.

To be fair... Kyle should've never been in that position to begin with.

Stewart should've been next on deck as the GL...

...but we know why DC never wanted to commit :mjpls:

So now, Kyle -who wasn't a bad character- becomes a victim of causality since Stewart (and even someone like Jessica Cruz) are more compelling baseline characters for modern society than yet another white ("hispanic") Peter Parker clone coming off the foot steps of another white guy (Hal).

As mentioned before, Tim is in a similar predicament (but for different reasons obviously), in that Damian (who i feel gets oversaturated, esp in the animated stuff) is a more compelling baseline for current society... in which every major superhero is becoming a parent... than another Parker clone, no matter how solid.

what's funny is there's a new comic coming out where the main members of the justice league die (batman, superman, wonder woman, Aquaman) so you would think Hal Jordan is going to die right?
nope john Stewart is :mjpls:

Yeah, another reason why the 90s version of Robin, GL, and others gotten bushed when the contemporary replacements had more compelling stories and motivations. Anyone not named Wally West.

New 52 bushed Them all for a reason. It wasn't the smartest thing, but the people gotten Rebirth in 2016 and their histories gotten butchered.

That why Damian Wayne gotten a huge push: cause he a crime fighting prodigy with a SURGICAL paradigm. Everything is calculated right down to his breaths he take, and quickly rose to this mega popular character. Tim Drake damn near is forgotten in DC animation, and even Jason Todd as Punisher Batman Red Hood has a compelling story of a Robin that went renegade after The Joker killed him and Ra's al Ghul revived him.

He becomes a different Batman in the comics, in between the two..

cassie had young justice along with my other favorites empress, slobo and lagoon boy. i miss that era. dcau is confusing with the lanterns. kyle was an apparent one and done, and hal was a au character possibly from the duck dodgers universe
