So did DC throw Tim Drake in the bushes in favor of Damien?

tim has never been that popular outside of comics, so
Fixed for accuracy lol.

Tim is supposed to be Peter Parker in a Robin Costume....he's the Smartest to ever put on the Costume.
Not just tech Smart either. He's regarded as the best Detective in the DCU not named Batman or Question.
It's just outside of all that...he's not really that interesting of a character IMO.

Not the Super Athletic natural Leader that Grayson is.
Not the street smart and triple Tough bruiser that Todd is.
Not the god tier Fighter and assassin that Damien is.

He takes 4th place in the popularity fandom...I personally like him over Todd tho.:hubie:

I like Tim over Todd too. I think the problem with Tim is that they never knew what to do with him as he transitioned into adulthood. I always felt Tim was the rightful successor to the question and using him to tell detective stories in a new city where he can be the hero would have benefitted his character

They tried with the "Red Robin" thing....and it wasn't hitting.
I don't know if it was the Name, the costume, or the story but it just fell flat

yeah, but that was dikk’s alter ego in kingdom come or COIE. Can’t remember which one and they tried Drake too, but they honestly need to develop him away from the bat family and teen titans for a little. Without retreading so much of dikk’s story

:francis: even this version of the Titans is Grayson's. I always took it as Robin being Tim because he acts more like Tim. I feel stoopid as hell :mjlol:

it wasn’t obvious until later, it was really just hinted at until the episode where starfire goes to the future and Robin was now nightwing.

Damian being his son and being tied to the LoS is better storywise
I wouldn't mind Damian taking Terry's place as Batman Beyond if they ever decide to bring it back to tv
It makes more sense because they had to retcon Terry's into being Bruce's son in that JLU episode
Just make it Damian and let him go through the trials of the mantle vs his LoS roots
