Change is inevitable...
Things were going great until the season after Trinity IMO
they made him invincible.. and that was fukking stupid... even in the very end, he never got caught for anything he didIs anyone really surprised? They didn't refuse to let him die just because. I did figure it would take a little longer but once I heard that Showtime wouldn't let him be killed off I knew he'd be back. That is the only saving grace of that piss poor finale. I have been holding out hope that they would bring the show back with competent writers and right the wrong (don't ask me how ) that was the last few seasons.

they should have had the trinity killer season... him getting caught season.. him on the run season.. him getting killed
would have been legendary... instead we got... the same exact story for 4-5 more seasons... killer comes, finds out dexter.. dexter almost gets caught.. dexter gets away
The LaGuerta shyt was what really pushed me over the edge. I just knew they were setting shyt up for a huge final season after she got killed. All the pieces were there...it was right there on a platter and they glossed over that shyt like it was nothing. Seriously, you got a police captain murdered and there is no investigation? Nobody curious about why Deb called to see where she was right before she was killed? Nobody looks into the cases that she was working on? You let the guy she tried to put in jail, do her crime scene? We just skip 6 months ahead and life goes on . You are right, he was invincible...a fukkin hurricane couldn't even stop him .
Start off from when Dex comes home after killing Trinity. I can easily wipe seasons 5-8 from mind.
if we bringing back old shows showtime need to get the rights to do The Wire- (rthat season 5 was hot trash)-
also need someone to step up and do Heroes the right way
I mean-it could be good if they got good writers and shyt, but not if they're going to continue the same trash it ended up as. Also get a better god damn cinematographer shyt looked like a soap opera
its supposed to be kind of campy....
you never read the books did you?
look at the titles:
Darkly Dreaming Dexter
Dearly Devoted Dexter
Dexter in the Dark
Dexter Is Delicious
The series is virtually nothing like the books though.
Fred.
just finished seasons 5 and 6, it wasnt AS good as the first four but it wasnt terrible this finale must really be some shyt huh
on another note, when trinitys car broke down randomly on the highway and dexter shows up outta nowhere to stick him with the needle one of the most ridiculous things ive ever seen
I just binged watched this season 1-8. Season 7 and 8 were definitely a little hard to push myself through but I chalked it up as me being burnt out watching the same series for a few weeks in a row.. but the drop off after season 4 is no joke I felt like they had new writer/director and this thread pretty much confirmed that (just the way the actors interacted with each other, the dialogue and the filming/camera seemed different)Lol.... It's that bad after 4?
