As an owner honestly I'd never buy a battlefield or call of duty game on the WiiU

It's a complimentary console.

I don't want the kids who use it as a primary console having access to that game anyway.

:ohhh:

But wasn't the WiiU supposed to be a primary console with promise of being great?

When did it become complimentary?

Soon as they realized that the dual screen was a gimmick. And giving developers the option of not using it and releasing yet another controller would make this thing one giant fragmented mess.

Don't get me wrong. I think the dual screen thing works...but no one has found a way to do it yet. Maybe when consoles support dual monitors. Can't see it working like the WiiU is though

Nintendo consoles have been complimentary since N64 left the scene

Pretty much this. N64 was the last Nintendo console which was my undisputed primary console. Gamecube was second place to PS2. Wii became second place to my PS4 and WiiU will be collecting dust in favor of PS4 once I stop playing Smash Bros. 4.
