Now I know y'all don't believe this story by Stevie J :martin:
"He ain't slap me" "it was his cousin" "nah it was 3 of em" "whoever was there it was a bunch"

But I wouldn't doubt Devante as putting paws on everyone he was drugged out and moved everyone to ROCHESTER, NY :gucci:

We need that Bassment book/movie they have to have some classic stories

Yeah, I think DeVante's whole reason for moving everyone out to upstate New York (Rochester) was so that nobody could try and sign them.

He knew he had talented artists under his fold and he didn't want labels trying to sign them away from him.

But in the end, that's exactly what happened and only cause he won't doing right by them.

He wanted Aaliyah as an artist but he was signed under rkelly @stomachlines
@Ol' Otis
false
Aaliyah was never signed to R.kelly. Aaliyah was signed to Barry Hankerson, her uncle, to his label Black Ground Records... Her uncle was managing R.Kelly . Barry Hankerson was the one who found R.Kelly, and got him signed to Jive, and was the one who got Kells to write for Aaliyah.

The Truth
Never, getting smacked would have hurt my pride. If I was one of them and I seen him years later I'm taking off on him on sight and gonna get him jumped and beat down serious.

At the end of the day nikkas ain't smacking me. What your saying is like saying it's okay for a woman to get fukked to get put on in the industry and if she becomes a success years later then that makes it worth it. Hell nah! It's not right to be abused by someone like that period and that could never be me. That don't happen to people where I'm from and we don't tolerate that. It would be war and I would find another way into the industry even if I'm known as the nikka who beat him up.
Bruh I wouldn't be famous then

No way I'm letting a bytch nikka slap me just to get put on and have some fakkit (Stevie J) bring this shyt up years later.

And it's really hard for me to believe that Stevie J was such a "real nikka" that he was the only one excluded from any mistreatment.

But even still, rap/music game isnt that important to me to get disrespected daily just to get put on

The Other A
Breh listen to the beats on Diary of a Mad Band. I wouldn't be shocked if Timbo had a hand in some of those of was out right ghost producing. Especially this one

But Devante mentored him

Near the begining it has the same baseline as them Aaliyah joints that timbo produced so you might be right

Um you do know TIMBO ghost produced for Devante. Timbo most likely did the beat.

I thought I was the only one who felt that way... :ohhh:

I swear I thought timbo was being mentored by devante and as a result was sorta using devantes sound.. But damn.. Maybe it was the other way around :ohhh: maybe devante was using the shyt outta young Tim and actually stealing his sound

Wow. :ohhh:
