Here's the thing, it fits Snyder's Batman run......Snyder is really a horror writer at heart. Making Joker immortal who knows who Batman really is would be a nightmare for Batman, which is why I like it.Wow, the contrast to what I read on other forums is striking.
They hated this idea.
just found that interesting.

Just read it, and I love the ideal....it makes since with the current content of the Joker. Really for anyone who thinks this is bad.....how does this change the character????
It would always confuse me when Batman would go out of his way to save him. Joker doesn't even give a fukk half the time when he's about to die cuz he's the joker like that. Why would you need to explain why The joker is Immortal? Joker was always Immortal because he's such a popular villain he would never be written off.
I always saw the Joker as almost identical to Batman.
Batman would never put himself in a situation where he could be killed... basically he was too smart to be killed. And I always thought the same with The Joker, he was too diabolical to be killed.
Making it so The Joker literally can't be killed makes it so he never needs a "ace in the hole" plan, which was always the most interesting thing about the comics joker was in.
Reading the comics and watching the shows I would always think to myself, "How's Batman gonna get out of this one?" but also "How's The Joker gonna get out of this one?"
Because you knew he would just like you knew Batman would but you were interested in how.
The most creepiest thing about The Joker to me was that he was able to do all these things, and go through all these things but in the end he's still only human. so that in itself gave the illusion that he was damn near immortal.
But
Like another poster said, him being imortal is just implied right now....all this really proves is that the joker knows how to get under Batmans skin. Why would you need to explain why The joker is Immortal? Joker was always Immortal because he's such a popular villain he would never be written off.

But
Some say that this was suppose to be the final Joker story.....Batman killed the Joker..."killing joke"...if Joker is imortal it would explain how he lived....but the story could be interpreted in other waysfukk that for me joker will always be the crazy, pathetic motherfukker as seen in the killing joke
GOAT batman book of all time
Which is why it all fits in the endJoker is meant to have a million origins anyway all of which doesnt xhange who he is at all
