Wow, the contrast to what I read on other forums is striking.

They hated this idea.

just found that interesting.

Here's the thing, it fits Snyder's Batman run......Snyder is really a horror writer at heart. Making Joker immortal who knows who Batman really is would be a nightmare for Batman, which is why I like it.

All this shyt is gonna change once Snyder leaves the book...so people need to relax and enjoy the ride

Just read it, and I love the ideal....it makes since with the current content of the Joker. Really for anyone who thinks this is bad.....how does this change the character????

Exactly. I like it and it doesn't change him at all. Also, it's heavily implied, but they haven't said it's definite. It's just another mystery surrounding the Joker and it fits pretty good.

Why would you need to explain why The joker is Immortal? Joker was always Immortal because he's such a popular villain he would never be written off.

I always saw the Joker as almost identical to Batman.

Batman would never put himself in a situation where he could be killed... basically he was too smart to be killed. And I always thought the same with The Joker, he was too diabolical to be killed.

Making it so The Joker literally can't be killed makes it so he never needs a "ace in the hole" plan, which was always the most interesting thing about the comics joker was in.

Reading the comics and watching the shows I would always think to myself, "How's Batman gonna get out of this one?" but also "How's The Joker gonna get out of this one?"

Because you knew he would just like you knew Batman would but you were interested in how.

The most creepiest thing about The Joker to me was that he was able to do all these things, and go through all these things but in the end he's still only human. so that in itself gave the illusion that he was damn near immortal.

But :manny:

:ohhh:It would always confuse me when Batman would go out of his way to save him. Joker doesn't even give a fukk half the time when he's about to die cuz he's the joker like that.
Joker:*gets knocked off a building in a fight*
Batman::birdman::win:
Joker::troll:*some bull shyt about good and evil on how one can't exist without the other*
Batman::dwillhuh::patrice::merchant:
"MY SALES!":damn::damn:*jumps off to save him like a damsel in distress*
Joker:Same time next month?:youngsabo:
Batman::whew:

Nikkas gotta eat:manny:

Like another poster said, him being imortal is just implied right now....all this really proves is that the joker knows how to get under Batmans skin.

A theme that is a common with Snyder run on Batman is the ideal that Batman is arrogant with his knowledge of Gotham.....I think the Joker is playing on his arrogance

Some say that this was suppose to be the final Joker story.....Batman killed the Joker..."killing joke"...if Joker is imortal it would explain how he lived:yeshrug:....but the story could be interpreted in other ways

Joker Mcloud of Clan Mcloud

It kind of ruins the epic "One Bad Day" speech he gave off, all it took was for him to have one bad day (loses his wife and child in a freak accident), then see the world as it is then wanting to set it on fire, but oh well, in the batman 89 flick his origin was that he wasnt only a mobster but also a former soldier who specialized in chemical weapons *its after the lets get nuts seen in his file*

I always thought he should have had some sort of healing factor but idk well see how this turns out
