So we've moved past why certain teams won the lottery to nonsensical conspiracies about why other teams didn't

Another deflection by David Stern....

Tim Donaghy writes a book about how the NBA officials are shytty and rig the game...Stern attacks Donaghy's character.

Jim Rome makes allegations that the draft is rigged...Stern attacks Rome's character.

Stern has been killing the NBA for 20+ years with all the games he's fixed and the drafts he's rigged. NY winning the first draft? Cleveland winning it last year? How great would MJ be if he never had a commissioner who had referees protect him?

I'm gonna start watching lacrosse.

He could say no 100 times, people (including me) would still believe it's fixed.

The real way to fix this situation is to change the format of the lottery.

How he going to fix it? Be like the nfl? Then nba teams will be in full throttle tank mode more then they already are when a star will be in the draft

smh Rome is a faggit, but how can you roll this Stern on this one? It seems like the shyt hit home for Stern and hurt his feeling cuhz its true the draft was rigged, but come on now Stern you really gotta resort that low to talking about something completely different than basketball.

I fukking love this. Stern stays clowning the media and making fukk nikkas on this site angry. Some of the shyt I've read in this thread is the height of stupidity. Can any of you tin foil hat wearing fakkits please explain to me how Stern can explain how something isn't fixed? You're openly letting it be known you think its fixed yet expect some response from him that will change your minds. Some of y'all are fukking women.

The lottery is rigged! :skip:

The lottery process is run by an outside firm and witnessed by reps from each team as well as members of the media.

The lottery process needs transparency! :jawalrus:

ESPN.com - 2002 NBA Draft: NBA out to prove conspiracy theorists wrong
That's one of many articles written by media members detailing every facet of the process. Why would the media, the ones who feed off of these conspiracy stories, lie about the process?

Why didn't Stern just answer the question!?
:youngsabo:

The first thing he did was answer the question. "Uhhh, you know, I have two answers for that. I'll give you the easy one: no"

Uhhhh...fukk that Jew cac Stern :pacspit:

:umad:

That's the thing, y'all fall into the same trap the countless media cats Stern has sonned fall into: opening your mouth about shyt without knowing what you're talking about. Entertaining conspiracy theories only helps to give credence to them. No respectable journalist is going to ask that question because there's nothing to it but speculation. There's not a shred of evidence to support the theory. When your job is to inform, you don't go down the route of speculation without evidence to support your claim. Asking that question only sets you up for the ether Rome suffered, just like Colin Cowherd found out with the Chris Paul shyt last year:

David Stern, NBA - ESPN

This is basic journalism. And give me a break acting like Stern was being unprofessional. He broke Rome down with rhetoric and kept his cool the whole time. If you though he was calling Rome a wifebeater that's on you.

I'm reading twitter & supposedly on his radio show Rome asked if the lottery was fixed because the Hornets got the pick.

Stern replied by asking...if Rome still beats his wife!

:deadrose: :dead:

Stern feeling good. In 12 months he fukked over the players in the current CBA. Got a host of young national stars. A small market team is in the finals. And This series is going to be the NBA's highest rated finals since '98.

I just like seeing Rome get ethered. It could've came from anybody. It just happened to be Stern doing it this time :manny:

-also you do realize the NBA playoffs used to be on tape delay at midnight until stern took over

Who ever said it's a loaded question is right! Can't get shyt past Stern, the lawyer. That "yet" is the key.

Rome says yes- implies that he beat his wife before.
Rome says no- implies that he is STILL beating his wife.

No win situation for Rome to answer that. I wonder how many more like that Stern has in his bag.

My answer would've been "never started, now back to the possibly fixed lottery:stopitslime:"

The "do you still beat you wife" is just a common rhetorical device. I think the real vicious "ether" was him debasing Rome's entire career toward the end of the interview. He basically called dude a gimmick with no integrity - which is what Rome was asking about the lottery, really, and Stern flipped it back on him.
