So Cartoon Network is Canceling "Beware of the Batman" Already

Some of you are stuck in the past, you can't expect to like the shows today the same way you liked your generations shows, it doesn't work that way

That's besides the point I'm guessing the real problem is that today's kids are growing up on streaming and the internet, not programmed cartoons like We did and the demand for programmed cartoons isn't the same. The kid today would rather spend his half hour surfing the net for funny videos. The studios haven't adjusted yet

Make no mistake, kids have ALWAYS liked kiddy shyt. For every Batman or Gargoyles in the '90s, there were a million Ninja Turtles.

Kids aren't stupid, and they don't like being talked down to, but they still want to watch fun shyt. They don't want a bunch of grimdark gloom and doom shyt. There's a reason these shows fail but Ben 10 and Lego Ninjago don't (besides toys).

And kids shows are written just as intelligently, if not moreso, than shows of the '90s. The only kids show I can think of that actively talks down to children is Power Rangers Megaforce.

Wait a minute Batman Beyond aired the WB didn't it? CN doesn't own BB how could they nix a reboot?

Yeah Batman Beyond was a Kids WB show but the repeats have been airing on The Hub and getting good ratings so The Hub wanted to get new episodes to air.
The deal at WB now though is for all new DC animated TV stuff to run through The Cartoon Network so CN put the kibosh on the idea.

This is true too. Marvel (and Disney) should just be like "Spectacular Spiderman, Wolverine and the X-Men, and Avengers: EMH all died under your watch..., Jeph. Meet your new replacement, Bruce Timm." It would be rather fitting since I don't think Jeph particularly cares for Timm for whatever reason.

Yea man this generation of children got fukkED. When I was a teen and Toonami was Poppin I could still enjoy watching shows like Dexter's Laboratory and Code Name Kids Next Door that were silly along with the anime shows like Dragonball Z and Tenchi Muyo along with The He-Man reboot and Justice League. There was BALANCE. Even the old Teen Titans show had a nice mixture of slapstick and seriousness. Nowadays it's just ALL silly and borderline retarded, and it's not just nostalgia. I taped a few of the shows and kept them at my dad's house, pulled them out and put them in my old VCR and MAN I just couldn't believe the absolute drop in quality. Cartoon Network use to be piff. Remember Tom the android host? Remember the anime compilation mixes they use to show as extended commercials? What the fukk happened to the QUALITY and balance



Even when I was REALLY young and we used to be STANS of the old Fox Kids lineup they had a nice balance. You Bobby's World, Eek the Cat, and Wish Kid but you also had X-Men and Spider-Man (which didn't age well admittedly) you had Carmen Sandiego for a little education and they even had C-Bear And Jamal holding down the Affirmative Action side.

Man, this generation of children got shytted on. They cancel cartoon shows left and right. Weekday afternoon cartoons are gone and from what I'm hearing Saturday/Sunday morning is more than ever.

When more of these good quality cartoons get cancelled and more kids watching more ratchet shyt like "Love and Hip Hop" and shytty cartoons, I know the next generation is not going to grow up too bright.

Kids are surfing the net nowadays and rather watch brain-dead comedy than a good show like Batman: TAS or Young Justice that has character development.
