What about how a bunch a bad defenses MADe the playoffs and sb :mjpls: a elite qb can help a team too . Eli carried the team when the d sucked . If you want to crown cam and say I guarantee with a better defense he in the playoffs then that means he is a elite level qb which isn't true. That's why threads like this are being made he also didn't help his cause too with all those to that's why people saying he Needs to mature.

Like the defense wasn't the main reason the Giants won two superbowls. :aicmon: Fact of the matter is Cam and the offense put up big numbers, but their defense was one of the worst I've seen. At least GB creates to's even though they give up a ton of yards.

Can you seriously name one player on the Panthers defense?

He can definitely improve on his passing ability, but isn't the object of the game to score points? He's never gonna be Peyton Manning type of passer, but he will move the ball up and down the field.

I'm assuming you must have skipped over the "since week 4 of last season, he has the same number of 300 yard passing games as Brandon Weeden" part

:what:ARE YOU SOME TYPE OF RETARD?
WTF DOES THROWING FOR 300 YARDS MEAN?
WHEN DID THAT BECOME THE STANDARD FOR A GOOD GAME?

WHEN HE THREW FOR 256 YARDS WHILE COMPLETING 78% OF HIS PASSES,
AND RUSHING FOR 59 YARDS IT WASNT A GODLY GAME?

GET THAT DUMB ASS ESPN shyt OUTTA HERE.
nikka THREW FOR 4000+ YARDS LAST YEAR, AND RAN FOR 700...

THATS NEVER BEEN DONE IN NFL HISTORY, LET ALONE BY A ROOKIE
BUT YOU COUNTING 300 YARDS GAMES...

You do realize it only takes 250 yards a game to hit 4000 for a season which would be considered a great season, right?

250 plus 50 on the ground including a rushing TD is pretty good in my book.

This cat is out here setting records and nikkas still ain't happy. :stopitslime:

I was feeling you up until "dudes gotta stop acting like he's already an elite QB". He's a hard working humble dude from what I see.

Even when he said the team needs to get on his level he was talking about dedication not on some "I'm playing elite, yall not" type steez.

:snoop:

So humble :beli:

The thing with the Carolina offense is that it takes time to get rolling... You need to get a few big run plays... A few successful read options to the running backs, a Cam scramble, then the defense is on its toes; defensive backs start to bite on pump fakes, etc. At that point, Cam can start throwing for big gains. The Saints game was the perfect example of this. That's where his huge yard per attempt, 2 TD passing / 1 running games come from.

What Cam cannot do at this stage of his career is set up in the pocket and slice up a defense off the bat. That's exactly what Eli did in the Giants/Panthers game (aided by an ass Carolina defensive effort), that's what the best QBs in the NFL can do when it is demanded of them. At this point, Cam doesn't have that skill set. He may develop it over time and may need to if Panthers are going to improve...

I agree but nikkas go to far crowning him already when he still has a long way to go as a passer

I doubt anybody is serious when crowning him. I know I'm not. I call him the GOAT because he broke all those records as a rookie but I don't think anyone honestly believes that.

We're just having fun out here.
