I can care less about the marketing of individual players in baseball. Teams>>>>>Players. Just look at The NBA; teams and rivalries took a back seat to the dikkriding of star players. You got dudes hugging each other in The Finals like it's some meaningless NBA regular season game.

What's wrong with dudes dapping each other after the Finals is over. I swear ya'll want every nba player to hate each other. I keep hearing all this guys being friends is ruining basketball, yet no one names a game or play were such and such didn't play as hard cause the other guy was a friend of his.

Baseball is focused on marketing the teams and the sport which is smart because players move. All the time.

The mariners for example, benefit from this because they doubled down on arod, big unit, and griff....them dudes ALL left and the team was left awry...the way baseball promotes the sport is smarter now because felix can leave but unless they lose like 100 games, safeco will remain busy
