is it even possible to be "willingly extorted"...at that point, isn't it just having goons on payroll, and a mutually beneficial arrangement? Extortion by it's very definition seems to imply some kind of unwilling forceful coercion

no names mentioned but in NY its dudes that leaning on entertainers has been they whole hustle for 10-15 years........most not all have used that to become "legitimate industry businessmen ...errr cough".......some are millionaires now like jimmy hench,haitian jack,calvin klien.....people think cam/jimmy ran mase out of harlem but ive been told it was actually old ass gangsta VON ZIP(most yall nikkaz like who lol) dont know for sure but my dude pretty credible.....most have diff ways to get to you and they aint all conventional.... i know personally of someone who sends cats to shake down said rappers only for him to come save the day like prince charming n shyt lol.......its a dirty game atleast here in NY and im sure its pretty bad other places as well

50, Jay, and Nas have been smart enough to say "fukk that shyt" WITHOUT sounding like their shytting on their respective hoods. Nas himself said "The Hood's in me forever but I'm NOT going back". Jigga said "I don't be in the project hallways/talking about how I be in the projects all day". But both of them rep their hoods to the fullest in their music and I'm sure have certain people they deal with/feed. But only to an EXTENT.
