imessage is damn near it's own social network. i dont use facetime so cant comment there, but imo android doesnt offer anything close to the imessage experience.

the only difference iMessage has is that pictures get sent faster, and thats only if your on wifi. I was using a iPhone less then 6 months ago. Theres literally no difference when texting you dumbass. there is no experience with iMessage, its just fukking texting. People didn't even what iMessage was a year ago, they didnt know the difference between blue and green bubbles

I don't think it's so much that iOS users don't want a big screen, as it is the big screen isn't available. So of course when Apple makes a bigger screen they'll want it. But they're buying it for the OS, not the screen.

It's like when Jeezy said "can't complain, the Porsche came with the rag." If you wanted a Porsche that year, you had to get the rag. If you wanted a hardtop you had to get something other than the Porsche. iOS users simply aren't willing to compromise their beloved OS for a bigger screen.

Some of those droids are too big though. I don't think they're anti-big. Just anti-gargantuan. There's no reason for me to be able to turn my head and accidentally read your entire text conversation.

Most iPhone users would agree a bigger screen would be nice but some of these phones are absolutely ridiculous.

That's what makes iMessage so dope though, the fact it integrates seamlessly with the native SMS. Some people may use it and not even realize. As opposed to Hangouts which boasts x amount of users but that's only because they count everybody with gmail as a user. But who actually uses Hangouts?

The other thing about iMessage is it crushes that BS 160 character limit of SMS and works over wifi. I have an iPhone 4s that isn't even connected to a cellular plan but I can still iMessage on it. Definitely not the same as SMS, breh.

Amazon is reportedly planning to launch a smartphone with an active 3D display. It is claimed the device has been shown to developers in California ahead of an official unveiling in June, and that the tech will go on sale in September.

The Wall Street Journal reports that the glasses-free 3D technology uses "retina" tracking, but this highly unlikely. It's much more practical to track either the position of the iris or the pupil, we reckon.

An advanced display, along with material supplied Kindle-style from Amazon, would set the online marketplace's mobile gear apart from rival hardware.

That 3D shyt didn't fly with the Evo 3D and honestly, is mostly a gimmick on the 3DS (great games are the reason for that system's success) so I don't know if Amazon can make it any sort of "game changer" where Apple and Samsung would have to scramble to catch up. If anything, Amazon entering the smartphone game might be the nail in the coffin for the struggling vendors like HTC and LG (here in America I mean)

yeah, call me stupid breh. by your logic, google+ = facebook. they offer the same features, right? i never ever ever had a group message pop off on android. i did have a ton of texts that never went through, texts that needed to be downloaded as mms, and a whole other bunch of bullshyt, though. but yes, hypothetically imessage & texting on iphone and android texting are the same.

this is my issue w/ some of you guys, you get caught up in specifications/capabilities but ignore the actual experience. texting on android was horrible. not everyone fukks w/ hangouts nor is it the standard for texting on android phones. what is so hard to understand about that? imessage is standard...iphone users use it without even knowing it, so yes, it is like it's own social network because tons of people actually use it to stay in touch in ways similar to how they stay in touch on facebook, snapchat, etc. it's not that difficult to understand.

iMessage sends texts and SMS slightly faster and it's noticeable

I can't go back to Apple this fall. I remember copping the iPhone 5 and how long I had to wait for a jailbreak. It took like over a year to hit. When this new iPhone hits with the bigger screen and all it's probably gonna launch with iOS 8 and be locked down for who knows how long. Just can't do that again not when i can cop an Android today and root just as quick and have tether back going.

Not true. The downloads app allows us to do the same thing. Downloads is basically a browser. I hop on the coli or whatever site, click the link and go.
