I live in Seattle bruh you have no idea how wrong you are.

Just because their problems are not IDENTICAL to Black struggles doesnt mean they dont deal with oppression and disadvantage. Once again its to nobodys benefit to turn oppression into a pissing contest.

First problem is painting Asians with a broad brush. Japs, Koreans, and Chinese do decently well for themselves but its a numbers game. In cities like Seattle, SF, NYC, you see a lot of successful Chinese and Japs because they flock in large numbers so of course you see the success more. Realize that Chinatown/Japantown IS the hood for Chinese and Japanese people.

However Cambodians, Vietnamese, Thais, Samoans, and Filipinos are considered bottom tier Asians and are really the "street" people of Asia. They deal with crime, poverty, and a lack of resources almost just as much as Blacks do. Forreal, go to a Samoan or Cambodian hood with your chest out and see how hard they bang.

Off top a huge problem ALL ethnicities of Asia face is lack of westernization. Believe it or not, a shytton of Asians here in Seattle cannot speak English (or read it) to save their lives and are at an extreme disadvantage due to that.

They have their share of problems bruh. And I havent even brought up Natives yet.....or how Asians congregate in areas that already have high rates of income disparity (making six figures in Seattle for example isnt much....)

I don't agree with a lot of the OP rants but in a small part, some of you throwing out "model minority" have fallen for the game.

Asian people did not invent the term "model minority" and in fact I know many (even educated and successful) who despise it. White people invented this term in the 1960s (originally applied to Japanese Americans) to try to denigrate Blacks fighting for Civil Rights showing how the "docile" and "successful" Japanese Americans showed America was a fair place. Of course they sidestepped how they interned them all and took their property.

The media still chases this narrative and will deliberately interview and highlight Asians that perpetuate it and blank out those who don't want to be used as a pawn to shyt on Black folks.
