On one side you have the stans acting like Nas wrote everything himself
on the other you have haters tryna shyt on Nas for no good reason
you're both wrong
The only concerns about ghostwriting in hip hop are
1. Is the person who is taking ghostwritten bars actually wack or incapable of making dope shyt with no help?
We all know Nas isn't wack and can write on his own
2. Is the ghostwriter being jerked out of money/credit?
Nope stic.man and Jay E got writing and production credit and are eating
So what's so bad about stic.man giving Nas a hook and a couple lines
and Jay E giving Nas one verse
Beats and featured artists can make your album hot even if you're wack
what's the difference between a guest-written hook or verse and a hot beat or hot 16 from a guest rapper
what difference would it make if stic.man rapped that Sly Fox hook or Jay E did Queens Get The Money
of course you're suggesting to everyone into thinking those are Nas's words but if Jay E and stic are cool with it and got paid what's the problem
And Nas's work with stic was directed by Nas, Nas told him what he wanted and they worked together
"It was co-written and a collaboration, but it was his idea and his genius." - stic.man
Even if we assume Jay E did all of Queens Get The Money by himself you still gotta credit Nas for the inspiration behind it
Jay E couldn't have written a dope song for Nas if Nas didn't write mad dope shyt for himself already
All those lines about Queens and shorty doo-wop in the park and 40 houses and shyt... that's some essential Nas shyt
you wanna give Jay E props for writing some essential Nas type shyt?
Is Jay E ill for writing one Nas verse or is Nas ill for writing albums so that Jay E could have the inspiration to write that verse?
