NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
:mjpls:
the hook is a part of the song... its part of the rhyme
he fed Nas lines for his verses too :mjpls:

she said she heard like 5 or 6 references
fj whatever dude's name is said the only track he knows Jay wrote for Nas is Queens Get The Money

so Nas only took one Jay E written record most likely

only reason nikkas even say that is cause Jay's name is attached to it..that dude don't know shyt..lol...

Well it looks like its gonna drop this year

seeing as how we got the tracklist and everything

It should be a great album, are you looking forward to it too?

Stic.Man did an interview where he talks about producing on the album and says he co-wrote Sly Fox, but it was more a collaborative thing where they pieced the song together than some puff daddy shyt
where an entire song was ghostwritten and just given to nas....maybe something similar happened with Queen Gets The Money, or maybe nas was just influenced from working with him cause I hear elements of jay elects style

The guy who wrote this blog sounds too much like the prototypical nas hater for me to take him too seriously..

basically.. he checks all the conventional wisdom boxes about critiquing nas

and I remember that stic.man conversation too about going back and forth with some lines.. that's okay in my book

On one side you have the stans acting like Nas wrote everything himself
on the other you have haters tryna shyt on Nas for no good reason

you're both wrong

The only concerns about ghostwriting in hip hop are

1. Is the person who is taking ghostwritten bars actually wack or incapable of making dope shyt with no help?
We all know Nas isn't wack and can write on his own

2. Is the ghostwriter being jerked out of money/credit?
Nope stic.man and Jay E got writing and production credit and are eating

So what's so bad about stic.man giving Nas a hook and a couple lines
and Jay E giving Nas one verse

Beats and featured artists can make your album hot even if you're wack
what's the difference between a guest-written hook or verse and a hot beat or hot 16 from a guest rapper
what difference would it make if stic.man rapped that Sly Fox hook or Jay E did Queens Get The Money

of course you're suggesting to everyone into thinking those are Nas's words but if Jay E and stic are cool with it and got paid what's the problem

And Nas's work with stic was directed by Nas, Nas told him what he wanted and they worked together
"It was co-written and a collaboration, but it was his idea and his genius." - stic.man

Even if we assume Jay E did all of Queens Get The Money by himself you still gotta credit Nas for the inspiration behind it
Jay E couldn't have written a dope song for Nas if Nas didn't write mad dope shyt for himself already
All those lines about Queens and shorty doo-wop in the park and 40 houses and shyt... that's some essential Nas shyt

you wanna give Jay E props for writing some essential Nas type shyt?

Is Jay E ill for writing one Nas verse or is Nas ill for writing albums so that Jay E could have the inspiration to write that verse?

I don't believe that 'reference tracks' sh1t at all.. which lyrics were in these tracks she heard and which of them were on untitled? And who ghostwrote nas' stuff on the last tapes?

Did Stretch ghostwrite Take it in blood? Untitled wasn't some out of left field performance it was in keeping with how nas raps

I dont think it's a prob when a hook is written or a few lines were shared here n there...at all..its all this reference track shyt that's bullshyt imo...Nas don't even record like that...Nas likes to be hands on with everything...so I HIGHLY doubt he would take a reference track from anybody...shyt is stupid...

Wow yall nikkas misunderstood my post

I'm over ya head like a bulimic on a seasaw <<<that's the kind of wordplay i was talking about, you fukking stans know nas doesn't write like that

I'm trollin? the fukk u mean I'm trollin

and take a song like back when, the second verse isn't on topic
the world s an addiction is all over the place, locomotive...same thang, and that's not a knock on his style, nas will rap about various topics in his rhymes, he drops like 3 concepts a verse.

U know what? fukk it

Neg rep a nikka.

Versatile, my style switches like a fakkit

I squeeze nipples like pimples to get the puss

Don't say my cars topless, say the the titties is out

Yea, Nas doesnt use THAT type of wordplay. My nikka stop it. It's ok if you are ignorant to Nas' entire discography.

Also, worlds an addiction is not all over the place, he used 3 verses to talk about many forms of addiction in the world, instead of using 3 verses for 3 topics. Dont get it confused.

Locomotive doesn't have a concept either, except for nas to take it back to his earlier days, which he did perfectly. Again, don't get it confused.
