Goal no. 1 for a new gm...don't get fleeced.

The Knicks being the ones saying they pulled back first is okay with me.

If Ryan Anderson is what we'd be getting back, might as well let Melo ride the roster until Rockets REALLY get desperate.

We have NO need to rush.

Melos value is never going up. The Knicks are better off without him so as long as they don't have to take back any hideous contracts where better off just dumping him

Hold up...wait...

So after tedious and energy sapping negotiation talks...

The Knicks should just buy Melo OUT??

Do you know what that would do to the credibility of this new administration?

Their card would be forever pulled with respect to negotiations with other teams moving forward.

Imagine after all that, Melo is bought out tomorrow and signed by Rockets 5 minutes later...

Take about a fukking L. No, THEY need to validate Harden's contract during this Warriors reign.

They somehow believe Melo will help them...they thought that yesterday, they think it today and they will still believe it tomorrow... Let them get desperate. fukk buying him out.

Maybe.

Maybe they weren't loving the deal they were getting.

Or maybe Perry was like hold the fukk up, let me see what I can work out, before we do this.

If it's either of THOSE options, I'm cool with it.

Either those two or they are fukking a mess and stupid as fukk

:hhh:

I really don't want to go into the season with THJ and Melo both taking shots from KP. That's even more true if the Bledsoe rumors are true. Bledsoe, THJ, Melo, KP, Willy probably isn't bad enough to score a top 5 pick but it's not good enough to contend either (barring miraculous improvements to all five starters' games) and good luck letting KP be focal point with that squad of scoring players. Knicks can't get killed on a Melo deal, but I do think they need to make something happen if they're really trying to tank and make KP the centerpiece.
