International policy IS domestic policy.
IN a democracy, the government works at the behest of the people (at least it is supposed to). We elect leaders based on whether we agree or disagree with their actions. The people need to be informed of as much as possible to make an accurate decision when voting or choosing leaders. This is an essential part of a republic.
Here's an example about torture. You would argue that other countries use torture. You would say that revealing that we torture people is revealing international policy since it used for intelligence extraction about foreign people and events. You would say that the American people have no business knowing it goes on.
I say we do because it violates domestic and international laws. Therefore, I have to know who authorized such things and where the policy originated it so I can vote accordingly or pressure my representatives and elected officials to abide by the fukking law.
